The show centers around Margo, portrayed by Elle Fanning, a college student dealing with the challenges of paying bills and an unexpected pregnancy. The preview shows her trying to manage her busy and complicated life.

A memorable scene depicts Margo being reprimanded by her mother, Shyanne (played by Michelle Pfeiffer), while lying in a Bloomingdale’s department store. Shyanne firmly states, “There are no victims in Bloomingdale’s,” which immediately establishes the dynamic between them. To earn money, Margo begins creating content on OnlyFans with an alien theme, frequently using green makeup. When her father, Jinx (played by Nick Offerman), asks about it, she playfully claims she’s making educational videos.

Mark, Margie & Other Problems will premiere on Apple TV on April 15th. This new series, created by David E. Kelley, stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nick Offerman, and is inspired by a popular novel.

As a huge fan of great storytelling, I was fascinated to learn about the origins of this series. It’s based on a novel by Rufi Thorpe, and David E. Kelley – who also happens to be Michelle Pfeiffer’s husband – did the adaptation for TV. Kelley was at a recent press event and shared a really sweet story – he joked that getting Pfeiffer to sign on as Shyanne was the second best ‘yes’ he’d ever received from her! It just shows how much of a personal connection they both have to the project.

I’m so excited for Michelle Pfeiffer! Not only is she working on Margo’s Got Money Troubles, but she’s also joining the Yellowstone universe with The Madison, which comes out on Paramount+ in March 2026. I hear she plays Stacy Clyburn, a fascinating character – a New York mom who moves to Montana after a family loss. And the cast is incredible – Kurt Russell, Matthew Fox, and Patrick J. Adams are all going to be in it with her! It sounds amazing.

This hit, that ice cold.
Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold.
