Anya Taylor-Joy Stuns in Leather Skirt, Showing Off Her Curves at Apple TV Event

Anya Taylor-Joy impressed at the Apple TV Press Day in Los Angeles, proving she’s a major star both on screen and at events.

The actress styled a black mock-neck top with a high-waisted leather skirt from Khaite. The skirt had a bold slit and a metallic zipper, creating a confident and modern look.

The event revealed the premiere date and first look at Anya Taylor-Joy’s new series, Lucky, which she’s also producing. The show will be available worldwide starting Wednesday, July 15th. This is Taylor-Joy’s first significant leading role on TV since she starred in the hit series The Queen’s Gambit in 2020.

Lucky is inspired by the popular novel by Marissa Stapley and tells the story of a clever con artist whose life falls apart after a major robbery doesn’t go as planned. She’s forced to flee, with both the FBI and a dangerous crime boss hot on her trail.

Let me tell you, the people behind this series are seriously impressive. Jonathan Tropper and Cassie Pappas are calling the shots as co-showrunners and executive producers, and they’ve assembled a fantastic team. You’ve got Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter through their Hello Sunshine banner, plus Anya Taylor-Joy is also producing via her own company, LadyKiller. And the pilot? That was expertly directed by Jonathan van Tulleken, who’s also an executive producer – a really solid start, and it shows in the final product.

The film Lucky boasts a strong cast, with Timothy Olyphant playing Lucky’s father figure and mentor. Annette Bening portrays Priscilla, a formidable mob boss, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is Agent Billie Rand, the detective on Lucky’s trail. Drew Starkey plays Lucky’s husband, Cary.

Anya Taylor-Joy has been consistently working on exciting projects and growing her career. Recently, in 2025, she appeared in the action-packed sci-fi thriller ‘The Gorge’ alongside Miles Teller, available to watch on Apple TV.

I’m really excited to see what Anya Taylor-Joy does next! Apparently, she’s coming back to voice Princess Peach in the Super Mario Galaxy movie, which is awesome. And even better, she’s going to be Alia Atreides again in Dune: Part Three – I can’t wait to see how that story continues with her in it.
