Upcoming Card Game Releases & Dates

Card games, especially the kind you play with physical cards, are incredibly popular right now. It’s not just about playing the games competitively; many people are also buying and selling cards as a way to invest and make money. You can see this trend with popular franchises starting to release their own card games.

The year 2025 began with several new card game releases, including Bandai’s Gundam Card Game and Riot Games’ League of Legends card game, Riftbound. Emerging titles like Sorcery: Contested Realms and CookieRun: Braverse are also gaining popularity. Digitally, Shadowverse released a revamped version called Worlds Beyond.

2026 is also set for another big year – let’s find out what’s coming!

Okay, so I just heard some awesome news! WeirdCo is teaming up with CD PROJEKT RED to make a Cyberpunk 2077 trading card game! They’re launching it on Kickstarter starting March 17, 2026, and if you back the campaign, you’ll even get a sweet foil promo card. I’m definitely checking this out!

A physical Digimon Trading Card Game already exists, and now Bandai is creating a digital version. Players got a chance to try an early version of the digital game in a closed beta test in August 2025, and we can expect to hear more official announcements later this year.

Wizards of the Coast, known for Magic: The Gathering, is entering the growing world of collectible hobbies with a new game. Although their previous ventures outside of Magic haven’t always been successful, they’re hoping to make a splash with this new release.
