Crunchyroll, the leading anime streaming service, is updating its subscription prices in the U.S. Starting February 2nd, and taking effect for current monthly subscribers after March 4, 2026, prices will increase across all tiers. The Fan tier will go from $7.99 to $9.99 per month, the Mega Fan tier from $11.99 to $13.99, and the Ultimate Fan tier from $15.99 to $17.99 per month. Like many streaming services, Crunchyroll occasionally adjusts its pricing.
As a Crunchyroll member, I just saw they’re offering a deal for the Fan Annual Plan – it’s $66.99 for a whole year, which works out to only about $5.58 a month! It’s cool to know this is the first price increase for this level of membership in the US since 2019 – almost seven years! That’s pretty good, especially with how often other streaming services raise their prices. And with over 50,000 episodes, 25,000 hours of content, and 2,000 different series and movies available, plus all the music, concerts, and games, it feels like a great value.
Crunchyroll offers different subscription tiers with varying benefits. The Fan tier gives you ad-free viewing, access to the entire Crunchyroll library, and the ability to download shows and movies for offline viewing on one device. The Mega Fan tier includes everything in the Fan tier, plus streaming on up to four devices simultaneously, HD downloads, and access to the Crunchyroll Game Vault. The Ultimate Fan tier offers all of the above, along with hundreds of manga titles through Crunchyroll Manga and the ability to stream on up to six devices at once. You can find more details on the official Crunchyroll website.
