As a total movie and TV buff, I’m really seeing Max step up their game! They’re adding a bunch of new stuff the first week of February – everything from unscripted shows and those addictive true crime docs, to fun animated series for the whole family. It looks like they’re bringing back some reality TV favorites, plus diving into documentaries about interesting jobs and places. Honestly, there’s going to be something for everyone all week long. It’s cool to see them really trying to offer a ton of different kinds of content across all their channels.
‘The Last Captains’ (2025)

I’m really excited about this new documentary series, ‘The Last Captains’! It follows these incredibly dedicated fishermen working in the rough waters of the North Atlantic. It’s a really personal look at what it’s like to make a living on the sea these days, balancing generations of tradition with all the modern challenges they face. It premieres on Max this Monday, February 2nd, and it really shows just how much strength and determination it takes to keep this way of life going. Each episode dives into the hard work and smart thinking it takes to actually bring in a good catch.
‘Wardens of the North’ (2023)

The popular series ‘Wardens of the North’ is back with new episodes premiering on February 2nd. The show follows Michigan’s conservation officers as they work to protect the state’s wildlife and natural resources. Each episode showcases the officers enforcing hunting and fishing rules, rescuing animals in need, and facing the challenges of working in often dangerous, remote areas to maintain environmental laws.
’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ (2019)

The latest episode of ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ aired on Tuesday, February 3rd. The show follows Americans who move abroad to marry their partners instead of bringing them to the US. It explores the challenges these couples face as they adjust to new cultures and navigate the difficulties of building a life together, including personal sacrifices and complicated legal issues related to international relationships.
‘The Murder Tapes’ (2019)

‘The Murder Tapes’ offers a realistic and detailed view of homicide investigations, using genuine police body camera and surveillance videos. The true crime series will release new episodes on Thursday, February 5th, showing viewers how detectives tackle challenging cases. The show uses firsthand recordings to capture the raw, immediate responses of officers and witnesses at crime scenes. Each episode focuses on one case, following it from the first emergency call to its final conclusion.
‘Batwheels’ (2022)

‘Batwheels’ is a new animated superhero series for young children, with fresh episodes starting February 6th. The show follows a team of talking vehicles—led by Bam, the Batmobile—who help Batman and his friends protect Gotham City. It’s a colorful, fast-paced adventure that combines the excitement of DC Comics with important lessons about working together and being a good friend.
‘Ready to Love’ (2018)

‘Ready to Love’ follows the dating journeys of Black professionals in their 30s and 40s who are looking for serious relationships. The new season premieres on Saturday, February 7th, and features singles attending events and going on dates to see if they find a real connection. The show highlights how these emotionally and financially secure individuals handle dating in today’s world.
