‘Mayor of Kingstown’ (2021–)

Mike’s trying to bring some kind of stability to a place where it feels like peace and fairness are impossible dreams. It really gets into the messy relationships between the cops, the prisoners, and the people who pull the strings behind the scenes. It’s a dark and complex look at a broken system, and honestly, it stayed with me long after the credits rolled.

‘The King of Queens’ (1998–2007)

‘The King of Queens’ is a funny sitcom about Doug and Carrie Heffernan, a working-class couple living in Queens, New York. Doug delivers packages, and Carrie works at a law firm. Their lives get a little chaotic when Carrie’s quirky father, Arthur, moves in with them. The show highlights the relatable challenges and humorous moments faced by everyday families.

‘Criminal Minds’ (2005–)

I’m a huge fan of ‘Criminal Minds’! It’s about this incredible team of FBI profilers who basically get inside the heads of the most dangerous criminals in the country. They’re part of the Behavioral Analysis Unit and use psychology to figure out what these killers will do next. Each episode usually centers around a new case, but we also get to know the team members and what’s going on in their lives. Recently, the show moved to streaming, which is great because it lets them continue the story and really develop the overarching plot.

‘Tulsa King’ (2022–)

After spending twenty-five years in prison, Mafia boss Dwight Manfredi, nicknamed “The General,” is sent to live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Suspecting his former mob family doesn’t have his back, Dwight decides to build a new criminal operation from the ground up in this unexpected location. He gathers a team of local recruits to help him gain control of the area. ‘Tulsa King’ chronicles Dwight’s attempt to adapt his old-school mob methods to this new and unfamiliar territory.

Okay, so I just finished watching ‘School Spirits,’ and it’s really good! It’s about this teen named Maddie who suddenly finds herself stuck after dying, and she’s trying to figure out what happened to her. She’s basically trapped in a ghostly version of her high school, Split River High, with a bunch of other kids who also died there over the years. It’s not just about being a ghost, though – there’s a whole social scene in the afterlife, and Maddie has to figure out who she can trust while trying to solve the mystery of her own disappearance. It’s a really cool mix of typical teen drama and a spooky murder mystery, and honestly, it keeps you guessing the whole time!

‘Landman’ (2024–)

‘Landman’ is a drama series that takes place in the competitive world of West Texas oil drilling, following people chasing wealth in today’s energy industry. The show depicts the challenging lives of oil rig workers and the powerful billionaires who gamble everything in a business that affects both the environment and global politics. Based on the ‘Boomtown’ podcast, it offers a realistic look at the risks and rewards of the modern energy boom and the changing economic landscape of the industry.

‘South Park’ (1997–)

‘South Park’ is an animated comedy about four friends growing up in a small Colorado town.
