Okay, I just checked out what’s new on Netflix for the last weekend of January 2026, and there’s a ton of stuff! They’ve added a bunch of old favorites, but also some really interesting new shows from around the world. Plus, they’ve got a few reboots of shows I’ve been hearing about. Seriously, there’s something for everyone – everything from historical romances and suspenseful thrillers to shows my kids will love and some comedy specials to keep me entertained. They’ve added a lot of both new original series and licensed content that just dropped, and this is basically everything that’s new for the week of January 19th through February 1st. I’m already planning my watch list!

‘Star Search’ (2026)

Contestants will compete in categories like singing, comedy, and dancing for a chance to win and launch their careers. The show focuses on finding fresh, diverse talent and giving amateur performers a worldwide stage. It will keep the exciting, competitive feel and judging format that made the original series so popular.
‘Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials’ (2026)

This series is inspired by a classic mystery novel and follows a house party game that turns fatal. A group of friends become caught up in a web of secrets, involving hidden groups and political schemes. Starring Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent, ‘Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials’ tells the story of an amateur detective solving a complex crime. The show perfectly recreates the feel of the 1920s while delivering a captivating ‘who done it’ story.
‘Free Bert’ (2026)

‘Free Bert’ is a funny and insightful look at a public figure and what it means to be truly free. Through behind-the-scenes footage and candid interviews, it offers a detailed and personal story. It blends humor with thoughtful questions about fame and how the public sees celebrities.
‘HIS & HERS’ (2026)

I’m really hooked on this new series! It’s based on a psychological thriller, and it follows a murder investigation in this small town where everyone has secrets. What’s fascinating is that we see the investigation unfold through the eyes of two different people – a journalist and a detective. They both have their own way of looking at things, and their perspectives often clash. It’s so tense because you slowly start to piece together what happened, but it’s never quite as straightforward as it seems. The show really digs into how past events and hidden traumas can affect everything happening now, and it keeps you guessing until the very end.
‘11.22.63’ (2016)

‘11.22.63’ is a suspenseful science fiction story about Jake Epping, a regular teacher who finds a way to travel back to 1960. He’s given the dangerous job of trying to stop the assassination of President Kennedy, hoping to create a better future. Based on a novel by Stephen King, the story delves into how even small changes to the past can have huge consequences, and the difficulties of living for a long time in another era. It examines the idea that trying to change history, even with good intentions, can be risky.
‘The Way Home’ (2023–)

The drama ‘The Way Home’ tells the story of three generations of women from the Landry family who reconnect after years of being apart. The series features time travel, allowing characters to go back in time and reveal hidden family secrets. It’s a show about forgiveness, dealing with loss, and the strong connections within a family, even across different time periods. Viewers have been drawn to its heartfelt storytelling and the way it combines everyday family life with a mysterious, supernatural element.
