I was seriously blown away when I saw the photos of Eduardo Franco! You know him as Argyle from Stranger Things, and he’s completely transformed his body. He shared a look at his incredible progress on Instagram – he’s gotten seriously toned and muscular after only three months of really dedicated training. It’s amazing to see how hard he’s been working!
Franco explained the reason for his transformation was a new movie role he’d secured for July 2025. The role demanded he appear without a shirt in one of the opening scenes.
In a video, Franco explained that his character first appears shirtless in the very beginning of the movie, and he requested to be in the best shape possible for that scene.
He started working with celebrity trainer Stephen Cheuk at S10 Training in New York to build muscle and get in great shape, even though he’d never done strength training before. “Stephen really took care of me, and it was amazing,” he said, praising his trainer for the quick progress he made.

I couldn’t believe how quickly that video of his abs spread online! It went totally viral. And it was so funny seeing the reactions from the rest of the Stranger Things cast – Finn Wolfhard just sent a bunch of clapping hands, but Caleb McLaughlin’s reaction was way more expressive and shocked, which made me laugh!
I’m really excited about what James Franco has coming up! It’s not just live-action stuff for him this year and beyond. He’s doing a lot of voice work in animation too. In 2026, he’s going to be Daryl the capybara in Sony’s new sports comedy, Goat, which sounds hilarious – and he’s acting alongside Caleb McLaughlin, Jennifer Hudson, and even Stephen Curry! Plus, he’s voicing a character named Loaf in Disney/Pixar’s Hoppers, a really cool-sounding movie about a girl who builds a robotic beaver to travel and learn about all kinds of animals. It’s a busy schedule for him, and I can’t wait to see both of these films!
Tyler Franco has quickly become known for his performances in shows like American Vandal and the movie Booksmart, and he’s recently transformed his image. With diverse roles and exciting new projects, including the upcoming film Goat releasing on February 13th, many believe 2026 will be a significant year for him.
