Monica Barbaro was in London last night for the premiere of Crime 101 at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square. She wore a beautiful ivory gown by Marmar Halim, a choice that seemed to signal a return to her classic style. While some fashion critics have been discussing her recent Dior looks, this outfit felt like a fresh and welcome change.
The dress is a flowing, strapless gown that beautifully shows off her grace. It features a softly gathered top and a gently flowing skirt, creating a flattering shape that isn’t overly structured. Its pale ivory color keeps the look delicate and sophisticated, making it perfect for a special event like a London gala.

As a film buff, I was immediately struck by the dress’s classic elegance. The way the fabric flowed reminded me of ancient Greek sculptures – it was just beautiful. It also felt very aligned with Maria Grazia Chiuri’s signature style, which probably explains why the actor loved it so much. Paired with simple gold sandals and stunning Bvlgari jewelry, the outfit didn’t overshadow the actor at all – it really let her be the star, and that’s what great fashion should do, right?
Bart Layton’s Crime 101 is a stylish and suspenseful thriller, adapted from a story by Don Winslow. Chris Hemsworth plays a highly skilled thief who operates by a strong personal code, while Mark Ruffalo portrays the detective determined to stop him. The film also features impressive performances from stars like Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Monica Barbaro’s career has quickly soared after she became well-known for playing Phoenix in Top Gun: Maverick. She recently received praise and an Academy Award nomination for her performance as Joan Baez in the Bob Dylan movie, A Complete Unknown. She’ll also be starring alongside Callum Turner in the upcoming romantic comedy, One Night Only.
In addition to her movie roles, the actress is getting ready to make her stage debut in a West End production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses. She’ll be performing at the National Theatre with Lesley Manville and Aidan Turner later this year. With this new theater role and several films in the works, Barbaro is proving herself to be one of Hollywood’s most adaptable and talented performers.
Her recent red carpet look shows she’s becoming more confident both as an artist and in how she presents herself to the world.
