The singer recently discussed on the Call Her Daddy podcast how Taylor Swift guided her through the complexities of owning her music. She explained that Swift helped her understand how to protect her work and rights while she was searching for a record label. “I was learning about protecting myself and understanding all the legal terms,” she shared.

She shared how they first met, explaining that she was invited to a party where she met this woman. They struck up a conversation, and she explained why she was visiting the U.S. She then confided that she was having a difficult time, and the woman kindly offered to help, pulling her aside to talk.
