Marvel has just released the first trailer for the upcoming season of Daredevil: Born Again, and it’s already generating a lot of buzz. The trailer was revealed Tuesday morning by Marvel Studios and Disney+ and quickly went viral on social media.
The trailer starts off peaceful, showing Matt Murdock and Karen Page happily dancing, and even Bullseye casually enjoying a milkshake. Wilson Fisk seems comfortable and in control as the mayor of New York, creating a brief illusion of normalcy. However, that peaceful feeling quickly disappears.
The atmosphere changes rapidly, and the city once more feels bleak. We see Fisk’s New York as a tough, oppressive place where the police are clearly overstepping their authority. This happens right after the end of the first season, when Matt and Karen understood they couldn’t defeat Fisk by themselves. Just then, someone they know appears.
Jessica Jones is returning to the screen, with Krysten Ritter reprising her role. This marks the first appearance of the character in the latest phase of Marvel TV shows. Her presence signals that Daredevil’s Matt Murdock won’t be facing his battles alone, though she doesn’t hold back and isn’t particularly sympathetic to his problems.

The trailer gives us our first glimpse of Matthew Lillard playing a new character, Mr. Charles, whose true identity remains a secret. Fans also noticed Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and considering the events of the first season, he’ll likely appear in flashbacks.
Along with the trailer, Marvel revealed what Season 2 is about: Mayor Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin, is tightening his grip on New York City while relentlessly pursuing Daredevil, the masked vigilante. Meanwhile, Matt Murdock, the man behind the mask, will fight from the shadows to dismantle Fisk’s criminal empire and save his city. The season’s motto is: Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.
Marvel Studios has announced that the second season of Daredevil: Born Again will be released on March 24th. This news came with a new trailer, exciting fans who have been waiting for the premiere date.
