Lauren Sánchez Bezos Struggles to Stay Upright in Massive Heels During Fashion Event

Lauren Sanchez Bezos had a relatable moment at a recent fashion show, proving even style icons can face little mishaps. She and her husband, Jeff Bezos, attended the Christian Dior Haute Couture show in Paris on January 26th, looking chic and elegant as they greeted the crowd and photographers.

Sanchez Bezos had a quick, shaky moment as she arrived at the building. One of her high, gray suede heels caught on the entrance, almost making her fall. But she quickly regained her balance, smoothly continued walking, and went into the show without any further problems.

For the glamorous event, the couple made sure their outfits complemented each other. Sanchez Bezos wore a chic light gray tweed suit, consisting of a fitted knee-length skirt and a sweater with a large, eye-catching fur collar. Jeff Bezos looked equally sharp in a dark blue blazer and pants, and his neatly trimmed gray beard has become a signature part of his updated style.

That morning, the couple turned heads at the Schiaparelli fashion show with their striking outfits. Sanchez Bezos embraced a bold red look, wearing a bright red jacket with a gold belt, a matching skirt, and red suede heels. Her husband chose a more laid-back yet stylish outfit, combining a black blazer with an open black shirt and leather loafers.

Lauren Sanchez Bezos is having a busy year ahead, expanding her work as both a writer and someone who supports charitable causes. Her new children’s book, The Fly Who Flew Under the Sea, will be released on March 3, 2026.

I just finished reading the sequel to last year’s hit, and it’s another charming adventure with Flynn the fly! This time, Flynn trades the skies for the deep ocean, and honestly, it’s a brilliant move. The author, Sanchez Bezos, told reporters she wanted to create a story about a world we rarely see, and one that desperately needs our attention. Flynn’s wonderfully brave – and delightfully prone to getting sidetracked by his curiosity – as he explores the mysteries beneath the waves. It’s a really lovely book that’s sure to capture the imagination.

To celebrate her new book, Sanchez Bezos revealed a $37.5 million donation from the Bezos Earth Fund to conserve a large area of the Pacific Ocean – 835,000 square miles. She’s also been recognized as a Literacy Champion by Scholastic’s United States of Readers program, and her book character, Flynn, will represent the program. As someone who once struggled with dyslexia, the author wants her books to help children see their own learning challenges as strengths.

The couple is also gearing up to be the main sponsors of the 2026 Met Gala, a major cultural event. Titled “Costume Art,” the gala will be held on May 4th and celebrate the opening of the Costume Institute’s new, permanent exhibit spaces. The evening will be hosted by Anna Wintour and co-chaired by stars like Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Beyoncé, who hasn’t attended the gala in ten years and is eagerly returning.
