She signaled this shift on Jimmy Kimmel Live on January 27th, appearing in a striking black lace outfit by Alexander McQueen that instantly turned heads.
The outfit, inspired by gothic style, combined strong, well-defined lines with delicate lace, capturing the passionate and shadowy feel of the new Emily Brontë movie. Critics loved how well the look matched the film’s dark and dramatic atmosphere.

Robbie, who played Catherine Earnshaw, shared that it took her a while to truly understand her character, which caused her some anxiety. She normally prepares extensively for roles, and did some preparation this time, but not as much as usual. This shows how deeply she connected with the part and the challenges of portraying Cathy.
Emerald Fennell, known for directing Robbie in both Barbie and Saltburn, is also behind this new take on Wuthering Heights. Her adaptation is raw and sensual, a departure from typical historical dramas.
Robbie appears with Jacob Elordi, who portrays the intense character of Heathcliff. In an interview with British Vogue, she highly praised Elordi, stating that his performance is Heathcliff and comparing him to the acting talent of Daniel Day-Lewis for their generation. The film also features strong performances from Hong Chau as Nelly Dean and Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton. Wuthering Heights is scheduled for release on February 13th, offering a dramatic choice for Valentine’s Day.
Besides filming on the Yorkshire moors, Robbie has been working on several other projects. She just finished the sci-fi romance A Big Bold Beautiful Journey alongside Colin Farrell and will be in the upcoming Ocean’s Eleven prequel, where she’ll once again star with Ryan Gosling. Her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, is also actively developing new movies and television shows.
