📢January 28th (UTC) Routine Maintenance and Update

Hello, this is BrownDust2.

We’re planning some routine maintenance and updates on January 28th (UTC). See the details below for more information.

We’ll be performing maintenance from 11:50 PM to 3:30 AM UTC on January 28th – 29th (a total of 3 hours and 40 minutes). During this time, you won’t be able to access the game. More details will follow.

1. Season Event “Chicken or the Egg” Update

We’re updating the “Chicken or the Egg” Season Event! The event will run from after the January 28th maintenance until before the February 11th maintenance. During this time, the second part of the event’s story will become available, and both Normal and Challenge Battles will reset. We’re also updating the Event Shop with new items for purchase.

* In addition to the above products, various items necessary for growth will be sold.

Hey everyone, just a heads-up about the Event Shop! The AP you bought will reset when the current season ends, so make sure to use it all up before then. Good news though – the shop will stay open for two weeks after the season is over, giving us time to spend any leftover event currency on the items we want. Don’t want to lose anything, so I’m planning to grab everything before it’s gone!

The Golden Tamago event shop will stay open for two weeks after the event finishes. You’ll have that time to spend any leftover event currency and claim your rewards.

We’re updating the bonus costumes available during the Season Event. Here’s a list of the costumes that will have bonuses from January 28th to February 11th.

– If multiple costumes are eligible for bonus events, the additional currency gained will be cumulative based on the number of costumes you own.

Alright gamers, get ready! They’re opening up the prep for taking down Mother Bird Yokai (Light)! You can find everything you need by hitting the “Fiend Hunter” button on the Season Event screen. Here’s the important stuff: we can start prepping after maintenance on January 28th, and that lasts until February 4th at 11:59 PM UTC. Then, the actual hunt goes live February 5th at midnight UTC and runs until February 11th at 2:59 PM UTC. Let’s get those builds ready!

The Mother Bird Yokai is a massive, glowing bird that soars through the sky. It fiercely protects its young and is known for its ruthless attacks on anyone who poses a threat. People fear the golden egg it lays, and its incredibly strong, metallic feathers can cut through almost anything. The wind created by its huge wings is powerful enough to cause widespread devastation. If you provoke this yokai, be prepared for a destructive response.

– Tap ‘Fiend Hunter’ at the bottom of the Season Event main screen to enter.

2. New Fated Guest Update

Okay, so awesome news! Ventana, dressed as an Onsen Practitioner, is coming as a Fated Guest to the Glupy Diner after the update on January 28th. I can’t wait to add her and chat through GluTalk and those Encounter Events – gotta build up that affinity and unlock her special interactions! Seriously, the story with her sounds really good. Just a heads-up though, you need to own her Onsen Practitioner costume to see her at the diner!

3. Fated Guest Story Adjustment for Neon Savior Angelica

A section of Angelica’s ‘Fated Guest’ story in Neon Savior will be updated with new content. A future update will also add full voice acting to this renewed story, and we’ll announce when that’s available.

4. Avatar Feature Update

Players can now rotate the camera while in Camera Mode, giving them more control over their view.

To rotate the camera, use these controls: On mobile, touch the screen with two fingers and drag. On a computer, right-click and drag.

As a player, I’ve found that in Camera Mode, you can easily rotate your character just by swiping left or right on the screen after you’ve touched it. It’s a really intuitive way to change their facing!

We’ve added a new feature that lets you interact with your avatar! Simply enter Camera Mode and turn on “Avatar Interaction Mode” in the top-right corner. Please note that you can only interact with your avatar while in Camera Mode.

[Interaction List]
– Pat head
– Hold hands and lift by dragging
– Lift by holding legs

We’re adding special moves that are unique to each character, meaning only certain characters can perform them.

You can customize the PC client by assigning up to 10 of your favorite motions to hotkeys numbered 0 through 9. This is done through the Favorites tab on the motion icon screen.

5. Additional Fishing Feature Update

I’m so excited about the new cooperative fishing feature! Now I can fish with my friends! It’s really easy to set up – at the dock, you just hit the cooperative button to either create a room or join one that’s already open. Creating a room does use a ‘Large Ship Departure Permit,’ but don’t worry, you get 10 of those recharged for free every day. If I accidentally start a room and end up fishing alone, it just switches back to normal fishing and doesn’t use a permit. The cool thing is, as you upgrade your ship, more people can join in! And when someone uses bait, it helps everyone on board. Plus, there’s a chat feature so we can all talk while we fish, and you can even tap on someone’s name to see how they’re doing. It’s going to be a lot more fun fishing with others!

You can unlock cosmetic skins for your ship once it’s fully leveled up. We’re adding two new skins that you can buy with Deco Coins.

We’ve added a new fishing area called “Abyssal Anglerfish,” along with new fish to catch there. We originally planned to add two new areas, as mentioned in our January 9th developer update, but we’ve only been able to release one at this time. We appreciate your understanding, and we’ll share news about any future fishing area updates as soon as they’re available.

Here’s what’s new with fishing: Several fish now have unique abilities. You can see the recommended level for each fishing spot. While using Auto Fishing, you can now control the camera, and there’s a new animation when you catch a fish. We’ve added two new fishing rods to the shop, along with new fishing missions. You’ll also find new achievements, titles, and stickers related to fishing. Finally, the Fishing Guidebook now includes information about cooperative fishing.

6. Others

Because the monsters appearing in the game change each week, the Quests to defeat them will no longer be available today.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know they’re giving us some compensation! It turns out there was a bug with Glutti and Symbol Monsters in Story Packs 5 through 7 and Character Pack 2 – they were resetting daily when they shouldn’t have been. So, they’re making things right, which is awesome!

  • Eligibility period: After the Jan 15 maintenance ~ before the Jan 29 maintenance.
  • Reason for compensation: To resolve inconsistencies in obtainable rewards caused by an incorrect reset cycle.
  • Compensation plan: For the affected packs, we plan to grant all players the rewards that could have been obtained over a total of 14 days.
  • How it will be granted: We will grant the total rewards that would have been obtainable during the bug period. However, any rewards already obtained from the affected packs during that period will be excluded, and only the unclaimed portion will be granted.
Compensation will be distributed after eligibility extraction and verification are completed. The exact distribution date will be announced in a future notice.
