I was really shocked and disappointed to learn about something involving Rachel Accurso. Apparently, screenshots are going around showing her Instagram account liked a truly hateful comment – something about freeing America from Jewish people. It happened under a post where she was expressing support for Palestine, Sudan, Congo, and Iran, but that doesn’t make the situation any better. It’s just awful and I hope she addresses it.
Screenshots showing Accurso reacting positively to the comment sparked outrage from Jewish advocacy groups and fans of Ms. Rachel. Accurso is a popular YouTuber with over 18 million subscribers, and her educational show for toddlers was among the top ten most-watched programs on Netflix during the latter part of 2025.
Accurso shared a screenshot from a follower who pointed out she had liked a comment containing antisemitic views. She responded that she had already removed the “horrible” message, adding, “I think I deleted that as soon as I saw it! I strongly oppose antisemitism.”
Accurso explained she accidentally liked a comment she intended to delete. She apologized for any confusion, stating she immediately removes any antisemitic content she finds. She emphasized that she strongly opposes all forms of hate, including antisemitism directed at Jewish people.
Accurso followed up with a video apology, explaining she accidentally clicked ‘like’ on the post while attempting to delete it. Visibly upset, she said, “I’m human and make mistakes. It feels like you can’t even be yourself online anymore. Anyone who knows me knows I would never intentionally support that.”

Accurso told Variety she strongly condemns language that attacks or hurts Jewish people. She emphasized that she has zero tolerance for antisemitism or any form of hate, stating that kindness, inclusivity, and compassion are the foundations of everything she does.
As a film lover, I’ve been really moved by the work of Accurso, a passionate advocate for children’s rights. She’s managed to raise over a million dollars for groups helping kids caught in conflict, and she’s been particularly outspoken about the terrible situation in Gaza, often criticizing Israel’s actions. I recently saw a video of her singing with a little three-year-old from Gaza who had lost both legs – it was heartbreaking and beautiful. And she just curated an art exhibition in New York, called Colors That Survived, featuring artwork created by Palestinian children – it’s a powerful way to hear their voices and see the world through their eyes.
Accurso often responds to criticism of her activism online, but her online conduct continues to be questioned. A group called HonestReporting, which monitors media coverage of Israel, has released a report claiming her actions are part of a larger trend of spreading false information.
It’s common to accidentally like something while scrolling social media. However, repeatedly engaging with clearly antisemitic comments is unacceptable, according to the report. The report included a screenshot allegedly showing Accurso responding with “ooooooooooohhhhh” to a comment claiming Jewish people were behind the antisemitic messages.
In addition to her popular social media, Ms. Rachel Accurso has several big projects underway. Her Netflix show, Ms. Rachel, remains incredibly popular with young children, and she just published a new book called Ms. Rachel and the Special Surprise.
Actress Jane Accurso and her husband, Broadway composer Aron Accurso, had their second child in April 2025 through surrogacy. Soon, a special tour based on her show will travel throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland, offering fun, educational songs and live shows for families with young children.
Even with recent challenges, Accurso is still dedicated to her work with Save the Children and Room to Grow. She continues to create helpful videos about speech development and what children typically achieve at different ages, solidifying her position as a leading voice in early childhood education worldwide.
