The dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has escalated after the release of court documents. Us Weekly reports these filings include private messages between Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, Matt Damon, and Luciana Barroso, exposing significant tension while filming It Ends With Us.
Ryan Reynolds shared a concerning story about Hilaria Baldoni. Reynolds said Baldoni called their personal trainer just weeks after Blake Lively gave birth to their son, asking how much Lively would weigh in two weeks. Reynolds detailed this in a message from May 17, 2024, stating, “Several weeks before shooting, and right after Blake had given birth to our son … this guy called our trainer, Don and asked ‘how much do you think Blake will weigh in two weeks?’”
Reynolds explained that the trainer reacted poorly to the question. He said the trainer, Don, became aggressive and Justin quickly backed down. Baldoni apparently tried to justify his question by mentioning his physical limitations, saying he needed to carry the actress in a scene and had low bone density. Luciana Barroso was furious, responding with a strongly worded message questioning the trainer’s concern, as the character he was questioning was supposed to be deceased.
The documents show that Baldoni reportedly made odd remarks about Blake Lively’s deceased father, Ernie Lively. Blake shared that Baldoni had told him he often speaks with his father, even asking if Blake minded—despite the fact that his father passed away three years ago. In response, Barroso called Baldoni unsettling and suggested someone should make a movie about him.
Matt Damon reached out to Blake Lively and her husband with a supportive message. He offered any assistance he could provide and playfully suggested she direct a future film with his production company, Artists Equity. He described the company as “a cult, but a really nice one.”
Lively also asked Ben Affleck for his opinion on her film edit, sending him a casual email asking for feedback without any pressure. She expressed her gratitude for his support, mentioning that Ryan Reynolds had asked Matt Damon to watch it too, and appreciating the kindness of both men. She playfully added that it was surreal to think Jason Bourne was watching her movie and promised to get him an autograph someday.
I was shocked to read the documents – apparently, even Taylor Swift had an opinion on what was going on! It said she actually called Baldoni a really harsh name in a text – a pretty strong word, honestly.
