‘The Last Frontier’ (2025)

I’m really captivated by ‘The Last Frontier’! It follows Frank Remnick, a US Marshal who’s in charge of this incredibly remote and wild area called Blackstone, Alaska. His peaceful life gets completely turned upside down when a plane carrying prisoners crashes, and suddenly dangerous criminals are loose in the wilderness. It’s a thrilling story of Remnick hunting them down, but it’s also about something bigger – a conspiracy surrounding the crash itself. What I find especially compelling is how the show really puts you in that harsh Alaskan environment and makes you feel the isolation of the frontier.

‘Slow Horses’ (2022–)

‘Slow Horses’ centers around a group of MI5 agents who’ve been sidelined to Slough House, a department for those who’ve made career-ending mistakes. Under the leadership of the sharp but unkempt Jackson Lamb, they deal with the less glamorous side of spy work, but sometimes find themselves facing genuine, dangerous situations. Despite being considered failures, this team frequently ends up protecting the UK from both domestic and international threats. The show is a unique mix of darkly humorous moments and thrilling spy action.

‘Severance’ (2022–)

The series ‘Severance’ presents a fascinating premise: some employees at Lumon Industries undergo a procedure to separate their work and personal memories. Mark Scout is the leader of a team who, while at the office, have no recollection of their lives outside of work. However, the boundaries between these two realities start to break down, and Mark begins to reveal unsettling secrets about the company. The show delves into questions of who we are, how much control corporations have over us, and the ethical side of today’s work environment.

‘Shrinking’ (2023–)

“Shrinking” follows Jimmy, a therapist who starts being unusually direct with his patients after experiencing a difficult loss. This honest, no-filters approach dramatically impacts their lives and pushes the limits of what’s considered normal therapy. While helping others, Jimmy also deals with his own grief and tries to reconnect with his family. The show is known for being both emotionally real and surprisingly funny.

‘The Morning Show’ (2019–)

‘The Morning Show’ offers a behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced and competitive world of morning news. The series follows Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson, two driven women who face challenges with workplace politics and public controversies. It explores difficult questions about ethics, power, and how the media is changing, while also showing the personal costs of success in a demanding industry.

‘Ted Lasso’ (2020–2023)

Ted Lasso tells the story of an American football coach who surprisingly gets the job of leading a professional soccer team in England. Even though he knows little about the sport, Coach Lasso wins people over with his positive attitude and ability to connect with others. The show is about how characters grow, learn to forgive, and the power of a strong, caring community. It’s become popular for being heartwarming and for challenging common storylines found in sports movies and TV shows.

‘Palm Royale’ (2024–)

Set in 1969 Palm Beach, ‘Palm Royale’ tells the story of Maxine Simmons and her efforts to join the city’s most exclusive club. The series explores the hidden dramas and competitive relationships among the wealthy residents as Maxine tries to climb the social ladder. It’s a witty look at the desire for acceptance and the emptiness of chasing status, all set against the backdrop of a changing America and filled with the vibrant style of the 1960s.

‘Pluribus’ (2025)

Vince Gilligan, the creator of popular shows like Breaking Bad, is back with a new sci-fi thriller. The series stars Rhea Seehorn and follows Carol, a woman who discovers she’s the only person unaffected by a strange virus. This virus has linked everyone else into a single, shared consciousness. As the only individual maintaining her own thoughts, Carol must find her way in a world where everyone else is connected. The show’s interesting concept and the suspense of Carol’s isolation have made it the most-watched program on the streaming platform this week.

‘Tehran’ (2020–)

‘Tehran’ centers on Tamar Rabinyan, a Mossad agent and skilled hacker, who infiltrates Tehran for a crucial mission. When her attempt to disable a nuclear reactor goes wrong, she must use her intelligence to stay alive. The series delves into the conflict between loyalty to her country and her own sense of self, all set against the backdrop of global tensions. It’s a thrilling look at international politics and the secretive realm of cyber warfare.

‘Hijack’ (2023–)

Hijack follows a seven-hour flight from Dubai to London that is taken over by hijackers. Sam Nelson, a skilled negotiator, uses his expertise to try and resolve the situation and keep everyone on board safe, while police on the ground work to investigate. The show unfolds in real-time, creating a tense and claustrophobic experience, and focuses on the strategies used to calm things down in a high-stakes, confined space.
