Sean Penn, 65, Steps Out Hand-in-Hand with 30-Year-Old Girlfriend After Golden Globes

People magazine recently shared photos of Sean Penn, 65, and his girlfriend, 30-year-old Valeria Nicov, out together in Santa Monica, California. The couple were seen enjoying a rare public appearance after attending the 2026 Golden Globes.

I saw some photos of Nicov and Penn out and about on Wednesday, and they looked really cute! They were just doing some casual shopping, holding hands – total couple goals. Nicov seemed in a great mood, chatting away with Penn, who had a cigarette. Penn was looking sharp in a white shirt, blue blazer, and black pants. Nicov went for a sleek all-black look with a sweater, slacks, coat, and accessorized with sunglasses and a cute little shoulder bag.

Sean Penn was recently seen out and about not long after attending the Golden Globes, where he was up for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2025 movie, “One Battle After Another.”

During the awards ceremony, he was spotted lighting cigarettes while seated beside Leonardo DiCaprio. Pictures also surfaced showing multiple cigarettes soaking in a glass on his table. Stellan Skarsgård ultimately took home the award, with Benicio del Toro, Jacob Elordi, Adam Sandler, and Paul Mescal also nominated.

Penn didn’t bring Nicov to the event. He’s had a public personal life over the years, including marriages to Madonna in the 1980s and Robin Wright, with whom he shares two children, Dylan and Hopper. He’s also been linked to actresses Charlize Theron and Leila George, whom he married in 2020 and divorced in 2022. Most recently, in 2023, he started dating Olga Korotyayeva from Ukraine.

Sean Penn usually prefers to keep his romantic life private, but his relationship with Leila George (Nicov) is one of the few he’s publicly acknowledged.
