They’ve officially started filming, and we finally have our first glimpse of Sophie Turner as the legendary archaeologist. And let me tell you, she nails the look! Sophie Turner Arrives as Sansa Stark in Prime Video’s Tomb Raider

Amazon MGM Studios has begun filming its new Tomb Raider series and released the first official photo of Sophie Turner in the role of Lara Croft. The picture was taken on the show’s production set, and honestly, it’s exciting to finally see it!

Sophie Turner has been preparing for this role since February, and it’s not surprising – the costume is famous, and the part itself is very challenging.

While Taylor Turner is a prominent name in the upcoming Tomb Raider series on Prime Video, she’s joined by many other well-known actors. Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs are also set to appear, along with Martin Bobb-Semple, Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Bill Paterson, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, Celia Imrie, and August Wittgenstein. The upcoming show includes many beloved characters from the Tomb Raider franchise, as well as some new faces. According to creator and showrunner Phoebe Waller-Bridge (known for Fleabag), the series boasts “a wealth of iconic characters.” Chad Hodge is co-showrunning and also serving as an executive producer, while Jonathan Van Tulleken directs as another executive producer. The show is a joint production between Story Kitchen, Crystal Dynamics, and Amazon MGM Studios.
