6 Hollywood Films Releasing in February in Theaters You Can’t Miss: Wuthering Heights to The Sheep Detectives

February 2026 promises a great month for moviegoers, with a little bit of everything hitting theaters. You’ll find exciting thrillers, heartwarming romances based on classic stories, fun musicals, and comedies the whole family can enjoy. From Valentine’s Day dramas to scary movies later in the month, there’s a film for every taste. Here’s a preview of what’s coming up:

1- Crime 101 (February 13, 2026)

Oh my gosh, you HAVE to hear about this movie! It’s directed by Bart Layton and it’s based on this incredible book by Don Winslow. It’s all set in Los Angeles and stars Chris Hemsworth as this unbelievably skilled thief – seriously, he’s amazing – who’s planning one last heist, something HUGE. But things get complicated when he meets Halle Berry’s character, an insurance broker who’s totally seen it all and is pretty jaded. It’s a total game-changer when their paths cross, trust me!

Mark Ruffalo plays a determined detective pursuing the case. The film also features a strong supporting cast with notable actors like Barry Keoghan, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Corey Hawkins, and Nick Nolte.

2- GOAT (February 13, 2026)

As a lifestyle expert, I’m really excited about this! Stephen Curry, the incredible NBA star, is diving into the world of animation with a new comedy called GOAT. He’s working with some fantastic directors, Tyree Dillihay and Adam Rosette, to bring this underdog story to life. And the timing couldn’t be better – Sony Pictures Animation is planning to release it right around the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. It’s a really smart move that will get everyone talking!

The movie centers around Will, a little goat with big dreams of becoming a roarball star, voiced by Caleb McLaughlin. Gabrielle Union and Stephen Curry also lend their voices to the film.

3- Wuthering Heights (February 13, 2026)

Emerald Fennell offers a new and daring take on Emily Brontë’s famous story of love, obsession, and revenge. Starring Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi as the intense Heathcliff, this adaptation promises to explore the passionate and turbulent connection that has captivated readers for generations. Robbie is also a producer on the film.

4- EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert (February 20, 2026)

Baz Luhrmann revisits the life of Elvis Presley with this captivating film experience. EPiC combines previously unseen footage from Elvis’s legendary 1970s Las Vegas shows with rare audio recordings, letting the King share his story in his own voice. Following a popular debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film is now available in IMAX, offering fans an unparalleled view of Presley’s unforgettable live performances.

5- The Sheep Detectives (February 26, 2026)

This funny movie, directed by Kyle Balda, features Hugh Jackman as a shepherd who entertains his sheep by reading them detective stories. Surprisingly, the sheep aren’t just listening – they begin to investigate and solve mysteries themselves!

The movie, inspired by the book Three Bags Full, stars Emma Thompson, Nicholas Galitzine, Hong Chau, and Nicholas Braun, known from the show Succession. It boasts a charming ensemble cast.

6- Scream 7 (February 27, 2026)

The classic slasher series is back with a new installment! Original creator Kevin Williamson is directing, and Neve Campbell reprises her iconic role as Sidney Prescott, confronting her past traumas. Though the Carpenter sisters aren’t involved this time, Courteney Cox returns, joined by a fresh group of actors. This film aims to recapture the thrilling suspense that made the series so popular in the first place.

February is a great month to go to the movies, with a wide variety of new films coming out. Whether you enjoy animated sports stories or classic romantic dramas, these releases are expected to be popular and generate buzz for months to come.
