Here Are All the TV Shows Coming to Peacock This Week, Including ‘Jurassic World’

This week, Peacock is adding several popular movies to its streaming selection. Fans can watch the entire ‘Hunger Games’ series, including the newest prequel, and a thrilling ‘Jurassic Park’ movie. These additions give subscribers plenty of exciting action and sci-fi options.

‘The Hunger Games’ (2012)

When her younger sister is chosen for the deadly Hunger Games – a televised fight to the death – Katniss Everdeen bravely steps forward to take her place. To survive this brutal competition orchestrated by the Capitol, Katniss will need to use her wits and the guidance of Haymitch Abernathy. This film, which arrives on Peacock this Wednesday, January 14th, is the story that started the hugely popular movie series based on Suzanne Collins’ novels. It’s a powerful tale about fighting to live, making sacrifices, and the deep inequalities within the nation of Panem.

‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ (2013)

Following their incredible win in the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are sent on a Victory Tour by President Snow. However, Snow is also planning a special edition of the Games called the Quarter Quell, which will force past winners to compete again. This next installment in the series arrives on January 14th and continues the story of a growing rebellion. The film introduces new characters and explores the complex political situation within the districts of Panem.

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ (2014)

After the arena is demolished, Katniss Everdeen ends up in District 13 and unexpectedly becomes the face of a large-scale rebellion against the Capitol. Led by President Coin, she strives to rescue Peeta Mellark from President Snow. The first part of the final story begins streaming on Peacock this Wednesday, January 14th. This installment moves away from the physical battles of the games and instead centers on the mental and manipulative tactics used during the revolution.

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ (2015)

As a huge fan of the series, I was completely gripped by the final installment! It follows Katniss and her team as they make a dangerous journey to the Capitol to finally take down President Snow. Honestly, the movie is a rollercoaster – they’re dodging traps around every corner, and it really makes you think about what they’re willing to do to win. It wraps up the whole rebellion story and decides what the future holds for Panem. Good news for those who want to watch: it’s available to stream starting Wednesday, January 14th!

‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’ (2023)

I’m so excited about this new movie! It’s a prequel that shows a young Coriolanus Snow – long before he became the ruthless President we know. It follows him as he mentors Lucy Gray Baird, the girl tribute from District 12, during the very first years of the Hunger Games. You can stream it on Peacock starting January 14th. It’s fascinating to see how the Games began and how Snow started his climb to power, especially seeing it all through his eyes as someone trying to succeed in a Capitol still recovering from war. It really gives you a whole new understanding of the story!

Jurassic World’ (2015)

Twenty-two years after the first Jurassic Park, a new theme park called Jurassic World is open on Isla Nublar. But when a dangerous, genetically engineered dinosaur called the Indominus rex breaks free, chaos breaks out. This exciting movie arrives on the service this Friday, January 16th. Owen Grady and Claire Dearing must team up to stop the dinosaur and protect the park’s many visitors.
