I recently got a cool peek inside Artists Equity, the production company Ben Affleck and Matt Damon started! They’re making this new Netflix movie called The Rip, and Kevin Smith stopped by and showed everyone around. It was awesome – he even shared some pictures of incredible superhero collectibles they have on display. Definitely a fun look behind the scenes!
In a social media video (see below), Smith shared that Affleck likes to show off his Batman costume by keeping it on display in their office hallway.
As a film buff, I was really excited to see what appeared to be Ben Affleck’s Batsuit from The Flash! Apparently, it was the actual suit he wore in the movie. And get this – Kevin Smith mentioned he also had Matt Damon’s astronaut suit from The Martian on set nearby. It’s awesome to see props like that get preserved and displayed!
Many viewers remember that Ben Affleck filmed a complete ending for The Flash, but it didn’t make the final cut. Instead, the movie surprised audiences with a cameo from George Clooney playing Bruce Wayne at the very end.
Ben Affleck has stated that appearing as Batman in The Flash was the most enjoyable experience he had with the role. It’s well-known that Warner Bros. executives clashed with director Zack Snyder regarding the DC Extended Universe, and Affleck was also personally dealing with challenges related to his sobriety during that time.

The Real Flash Ending: Batman Multiverse
According to insiders, the original plan for The Flash movie was to kick off a major storyline involving multiple versions of Batman from different universes.
Plans were in development to continue Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman, and Michael Keaton was going to reprise his role in a potential Batman Beyond film.
Michael Uslan, the producer of Batman, revealed through his son that Michael Keaton’s involvement was happening. This confirmation was shared with Kevin Smith at the premiere of The Flash.

So, apparently, the big guys at DC had a totally different plan for a while there. They were actually going to bring Henry Cavill back as Superman and keep going with that whole vision Zack Snyder had for the DC universe – you know, the ‘SnyderVerse’. It’s a shame it didn’t happen, honestly.
According to reports, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav cancelled the original vision for the DC Universe. Instead, he asked James Gunn to restart it using less expensive actors. We previously predicted this might be done to make the company more attractive for a potential sale, and it now seems that prediction was correct.

SnyderVerse Could Return Under New Ownership
With Warner Bros. Discovery potentially being sold and several interested buyers, significant changes are likely to happen within the company.
Our insiders say James Gunn will be out as head of DC Studios following the sale.
There’s growing talk that if Paramount acquires Warner Bros. Discovery, they might revive the ‘SnyderVerse,’ potentially bringing back Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and even director Zack Snyder.
Meanwhile, Netflix remains a frontrunner in the acquisition talks, with the deal still unfolding.
