Pierce Brosnan was in London this week for the UK premiere of his new movie, Giant. He looked comfortable and confident as he chatted with photographers and fans at the screening, which was held at Picturehouse Central on Wednesday.
Brosnan opted for a sleek and refined outfit for the evening. He wore a black suit with a dark turtleneck – a perfect choice for the cool weather. He completed the look with polished dress shoes, achieving a simple yet sophisticated style without appearing overly flashy.

The 72-year-old actor was accompanied on the red carpet by boxing legend Prince Naseem Hamed, whose life the film portrays. They both seemed to be having a great time, sharing smiles and laughs while posing for photos with fans and the media.
Giant chronicles the journey of Naseem Hamed, from his modest roots in Sheffield to becoming a world boxing champion. The film stars Brendan Gleeson as Brendan Ingle, the Irish boxing trainer who mentored Naseem. It highlights their unique bond and the obstacles they overcame during the 1980s and 90s, such as prejudice and the difficulties of sudden fame.
Prince Naseem Hamed praised Pierce Brosnan’s performance as his trainer, Brendan Ingle, in the movie “Giant,” saying Brosnan exceeded his expectations. Hamed shared these thoughts while on the red carpet at the Leicester Square premiere, speaking with ITV Calendar.

Pierce Brosnan recently discussed the role on The One Show, alongside his co-star Amir El-Masry, who plays Prince Naseem. He described it as unlike anything he’d ever done before, noting a significant personal transformation. “This was a real change for me,” Brosnan said. “I didn’t even recognize myself as Brendan, and when I first read the script, I knew Rowan had given me something truly special.”
You know, transforming into Brendan Ingle was a real process for me. It took a couple of hours in the makeup chair every day. A lot of it involved prosthetics – I needed a bald cap and a completely new nose! The makeup team was fantastic, really dedicated to helping me disappear into the character and fully become someone else.
The conversation became lighthearted when Pierce Brosnan was asked about the leopard print tracksuit worn by Brendan in the film. With a smile, Brosnan described Brendan as a true showman, and added that Naz was one too. He playfully mentioned he’d even kept the tracksuit after filming, joking, “You never know when it might come in handy.”
Rowan Athale wrote and directed the film, with Sylvester Stallone producing through his company, Balboa Productions. AGC Studios CEO Stuart Ford shared that the team has been passionate about this story for a long time and were excited to finally make it with the perfect actors.
The movie Giant premiered at the 2025 BFI London Film Festival and will be released in the UK and Ireland on January 9th, followed by a release in the United States. Though it’s already generated discussion, particularly from boxer Prince Naseem, it’s considered one of the year’s most anticipated sports dramas.
