All the Movies Leaving Hulu in January 2026

Hulu is making space for new shows and movies by removing some titles this month. A variety of films, including horror and drama, will soon be leaving the streaming service. If you want to watch these movies before they’re gone, be sure to check the departure schedule, as their availability is limited by licensing agreements.

‘House of Darkness’ (2022)

In the movie ‘House of Darkness,’ Justin Long plays a man who meets a woman at a bar and then goes with her to her secluded home. Things quickly become unsettling as he discovers her motives aren’t what he thought. This film is a suspenseful, modern take on a traditional gothic story, and it will be removed from Hulu on January 6th.

‘True Things’ (2022)

I just finished watching ‘True Things,’ and wow, it really got under my skin! It’s about this woman, played brilliantly by Ruth Wilson, who’s stuck in a really ordinary routine. Then she meets this incredibly charming guy, and things get… intense, fast. Their connection quickly becomes this all-consuming, risky obsession that makes her question everything she thought she knew about herself. It’s a really gripping story about wanting what you can’t have and the fallout from making rash decisions. If you want to see it, you need to stream it soon – it’s leaving the service on January 7th!

‘Riotsville, USA’ (2023)

The documentary ‘Riotsville, U.S.A.’ uses old film and photos to tell the story of fake towns the military built in the late 1960s. These towns were used to train police and National Guard troops in how to handle protests and riots. The film looks at how government power and public demonstrations clashed during a time of great change in America. It will be removed from the streaming service after January 11th.

‘The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry’ (2022)

After his wife’s death, a bookstore owner’s life changes unexpectedly when he receives a strange package. The movie follows his journey to find love and friendship again, all through the magic of books and the people around him. Starring Kunal Nayyar and Lucy Hale, this feel-good film is based on the popular novel ‘The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry’ and will be leaving the streaming service on January 20th.

‘Dig’ (2022)

‘Dig’ is a suspenseful thriller starring Thomas Jane as a grieving father and his daughter, who are kidnapped by a threatening couple. The pair are forced to dig something up on their land, and a desperate fight for survival begins. The film highlights the strength people find when facing impossible situations. It will be leaving the streaming service on January 20th, so be sure to watch it before then.

‘Jeepers Creepers: Reborn’ (2022)

The ‘Jeepers Creepers’ series continues with ‘Reborn,’ focusing on the inaugural Horror Hound festival in Louisiana. While attending with his girlfriend, Laine begins to have frightening visions connected to a local legend. The Creeper resurfaces, targeting new victims amidst the festival’s events. This film will be removed from streaming services on January 26th.

‘The Inhabitant’ (2022)

A young woman is plagued by frightening hallucinations that seem connected to her ancestor, the infamous Lizzie Borden. This psychological horror film delves into whether she’s being haunted by something evil or is experiencing a family history of mental illness. As brutal murders begin to occur in her town, the tension mounts. You can stream ‘The Inhabitant’ until January 29th.

‘Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman’ (2021)

This suspenseful film tells the story of Aileen Wuornos’s life in Florida before she became a notorious serial killer.
