Mackenzie Foy has changed a lot since her first role in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. Many viewers were introduced to her in 2012 when she played Renesmee, the child of Edward and Bella Cullen. She was only 10 years old at the time, and the movie used a lot of special effects to make her character appear to age rapidly, which was a bit strange for audiences then.

Mackenzie Foy, now 25, has already had a successful acting career, appearing in films like Interstellar, The Conjuring, and Black Beauty. A recent video from Teen Vogue brought her back to the house used as Bella Swan’s home in the Twilight films, and fans were struck by how much she looks like the older Bella that was created using computer graphics. One fan commented that the original prediction of her appearance as an adult was surprisingly accurate, while another pointed out her resemblance to both Bella, with her eyes, and Edward, with her lips.

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Foy admitted she’s never actually read the Twilight books. She explained that she prefers to hold onto her own personal memories of the experience, rather than letting the books shape them. She does, however, fondly remember filming in Squamish, British Columbia, where she enjoyed hiking and seeing glacial water for the first time, even sharing a drink from a stream with her co-star, Lee Pace.

Looking back, Foy realizes she didn’t truly get the power of fandom when she was younger. Working on Teen Wolf changed that, showing her how deeply people connect with stories. Now, she values her early roles and is amazed that fans still discuss her character, Renesmee. While the CGI and story had a mixed reception in 2012, audiences now appreciate Foy’s performance, and some are even hoping to see more of her character in future projects.
Mackenzie Foy, who first gained recognition twelve years ago in Breaking Dawn, continues to prove her talent and remind audiences why she was so captivating as a child. She’s grown beyond her role as the controversial character Renesmee and is now establishing herself as a skilled and impressive actress in Hollywood.
