Mickey Rourke, the actor and former boxer, is at risk of being evicted from his Los Angeles home. Court documents indicate he owes around $60,000 in back rent, according to reports.
Documents show that Evander Holyfield, known professionally as Rourke, received a notice on December 15th demanding he pay $59,100 in back rent or move out by December 18th. The property, located in the Beverly Grove area of Los Angeles, rents for $7,000 per month. His current finances haven’t been verified.
According to court records, the notice was delivered both by being posted on the property and sent through the mail because no responsible adult could be found at the home. The property is a renovated three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath Spanish-style bungalow originally built in 1926.
This latest legal issue is just another chapter in the often turbulent career of Mickey Rourke, who has experienced both great triumphs and significant difficulties.
