George Clooney Confirms Which Original Cast Members Are Returning for the New ‘Ocean’s’ Movie

George Clooney mentioned that the movie Going in Style from 2017, which features older criminals, gave him the idea for a new project. He wants the story to highlight how wisdom and experience can be valuable assets, even as people get older.

Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts are all returning for the new movie. George Clooney has said the film will focus on how the characters overcome physical challenges by relying on their intelligence and skills.

Clooney explained he was drawn to the concept of characters who feel past their prime but are still clever enough to pull off a scheme. He described the story as being about people who are slowing down and need to find creative ways to overcome their challenges.

The movie is actively being planned, with the actors currently looking at potential filming locations. Production is scheduled to start next October, and it will be a collaboration between Warner Bros. Pictures and George Clooney’s Smokehouse Pictures.

For years, people have talked about making another Ocean’s Thirteen movie. The idea resurfaced after Bernie Mac’s death, and Steven Soderbergh began brainstorming potential storylines. Recent reports suggest Edward Berger and David Leitch are being considered to direct the next installment, with Damon and Casey Affleck likely to return. Clooney has confirmed the budget is set, and Roberts and Cheadle are confirmed to be back, alongside other actors from previous films.
