| Last Night | Tower of Pride | Tower of Salvation |

+ Unique AOE with great reach
+ Great in long battles, as her damage burns over time
+ Doesn’t need investment in her base costume (Prophetic Dream) to be good
+ Good for use in the Golden Colosseum
- Her utility heavily depends on the enemy formation, poor performance against small mobs
- Needs time to snowball, not as good in short battles
- High SP cost
Darian for PVE
Bittersweet Bunny Darian is a special, limited-time costume that really shines during long battles against bosses, like those in fiend hunts and guild raids. However, she isn’t as effective in other situations. What makes her stand out is her unique attack area – it combines a cross-shaped area of effect with a vertical line, creating a snowflake pattern.
Darian is a powerful water attacker with impressive offensive capabilities. She boasts high attack power (385 ATK) and deals full critical damage. While her initial critical hit chance is low (5%), this isn’t a major concern when playing against the game’s AI. Her standard costume, Prophetic Dream, significantly boosts her damage output, making her one of the best water attackers available for player-versus-environment content.
Power Scaling
Let’s start by comparing how much damage Darian deals to Rodev’s Star Liatris, a well-known damage-over-time attacker in BD2.

Lia initially deals damage equal to 225% of her attack (without considering chain reactions). She then applies a burn that deals an additional 225% damage each turn for 5 turns, bringing the total damage over 5 turns to 1,350%.
Bittersweet Bunny Darian attacks for a large amount of damage upfront and then continues to inflict frostbite damage over time. Her initial attack deals 400% damage, and she adds 180% frostbite damage each turn for 5 turns, adding up to a total of 1300% damage over that period.
When Darian attacks an enemy already affected by damage over time (DoT), he receives a damage bonus. This bonus deals 600% initial damage, plus an additional 180% Frostbite damage each turn for 5 turns, totaling 1500% damage over the duration.
Darian and Liatris are roughly equal in power, but Darian generally deals more damage with their basic attacks. However, Liatris’ special ability, Rodev’s Star, has a three-turn cooldown, which affects the comparison. To get a truly accurate idea of who is stronger, we need to factor in that cooldown.
Cooldown
Bittersweet Bunny Darian has a long cooldown of 15 turns, but it gets shorter each time she attacks an enemy. She needs to hit 7 different enemies to eliminate the cooldown entirely, as detailed in the table below.
| Enemies hit | Cooldown |
| 1 | 13 |
| 2 | 11 |
| 3 | 9 |
| 4 | 7 |
| 5 | 5 |
| 6 | 3 |
| 7 | 1 |
To use Bittersweet Bunny’s ability every turn, try to hit 7 or more enemies. Hitting 6 is still good, letting you switch between Bittersweet Bunny and Prophetic Dream. Hitting 5 or fewer enemies isn’t ideal because the Frostbite effect will wear off before your next attack, and you’ll lose out on extra damage. Also, remember that Teresse is currently the only 5-star Water attacker who applies damage over time (DoT) effects.
Game modes
Darian is decent for regular story missions and challenge battles, but she isn’t a top performer. She takes time to ramp up her damage and needs to hit multiple enemies consistently to be effective. She truly shines in longer battles against bosses – like fiend hunts and guild raids – where she can hit at least six enemies with her area-of-effect attacks each turn. Her special area-of-effect ability lets her reach scattered weak points that other water-based attackers might miss.
Darian for PVP
In Mirror Wars, Bittersweet Bunny Darian is bad, because her cost is way too high at 6 SP.
Bittersweet Bunny Darian can be a strong choice in Golden Colosseum battles. Unlike other game modes, her skill costs and cooldown times aren’t a concern. What does matter is her area-of-effect (AOE) attack, which can hit many enemies across the large battlefield. While her initial damage (580% on the first turn) is relatively low, it’s worthwhile if you can boost it with offensive buffs.
Darian’s exclusive weapon
Darian’s special weapon offers a helpful attack boost (45%), but it doesn’t significantly impact gameplay outside of ranked matches. It’s more of a treat for dedicated players or those willing to spend extra, and isn’t really worth using tickets on otherwise.
The Bittersweet Bunny costume is only available for a limited time, but the special weapon isn’t. That’s why it’s best to use your tickets on the costume banner to get it while you can.
Conclusion
Bittersweet Bunny Darian is a powerful 5-star water character who specializes in dealing damage over time. Unlike Teresse, she actively attacks, and her unique attack covers a wide area. While her ability has a long cooldown, hitting multiple enemies quickly reduces it, making her excellent for challenging content like fiend hunts and guild raids. However, this cooldown means she might not be ideal for everyday story progression.
She struggles in Mirror Wars in player-versus-player combat, but her wide area-of-effect attacks make her effective in the Golden Colosseum.
If you plan to use Darian for challenging battles like fiend hunts and guild raids, it’s best to upgrade her to +5 to stay competitive with future boss encounters. Remember, Bittersweet Bunny Darian is a limited-time character, meaning she won’t be available after her promotional period ends and can’t be purchased with powder later.
