Good news for Stranger Things fans in India! The final part of Season 5 will be available on Netflix starting December 26th at 6:30 AM IST, just after its release in the US on Christmas Day. These last episodes are expected to be longer and more intense, with plenty of emotional scenes for viewers who’ve been following the story and characters from Hawkins.
Longer episodes make volume 2 feel like a trilogy
The second volume contains four episodes totaling over five hours of content. Episode 5, “Shock Jock,” is 1 hour and 8 minutes long. “Escape from Camazotz” (Episode 6) runs for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and “The Bridge” (Episode 7) is 1 hour and 6 minutes. The finale, “The Rightside Up,” is the longest at 2 hours and 8 minutes. Ross Duffer, one of the series’ creators, recently revealed these runtimes, giving fans an idea of how much time they’ll need to finish the show.
Here’s what to expect in Volume 2
Following Vecna’s kidnapping of twelve children, the story continues as he moves forward with his plan for world domination. The group in Hawkins is desperately trying to solve the town’s most disturbing mysteries, and a recently released trailer hints at some surprising revelations.
Dustin realizes they misunderstood everything about the Upside Down. Will worries it might already be too late, but Joyce insists they still have a chance to win. The trailer features several stressful moments, like a chase scene with Demogorgons in a hospital, and Eleven working with Eight, another person from Hawkins Lab, to find Vecna.
The show’s familiar faces are all back, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink. Other returning cast members include Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, and Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna. The story will also introduce new characters as it heads towards its final season.
Netflix is giving a special send-off to the final episode by showing it in about 500 US movie theaters starting December 31st and continuing into January 1st, 2026.
