Watch Bowen Yang’s Emotional Final Sketch on STATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

Bowen Yang said goodbye to Saturday Night Live on December 20, 2025, after six and a half seasons as a cast member. He’s leaving to focus on other opportunities, and his final episode was a blend of heartfelt moments and plenty of laughs. He’ll definitely be missed!

Bowen Yang’s final Weekend Update segment featured a special guest: Aidy Bryant, a former cast member who left SNL in 2022. This marked Bryant’s first return to the show since leaving, and she came back to give Yang a proper farewell and revisit their popular ‘Trend Forecasters’ bit.

However, it was his final sketch that really touched everyone. It featured Yang as a Delta Airlines lounge employee, alongside guest host Ariana Grande and the legendary Cher. The sketch revolved around his character’s last day at work, and Yang became visibly emotional while delivering a heartfelt farewell speech.

It really hit me when he told me it was his last shift. He seemed genuinely sad, saying he’d miss everything – even the unique smell of the place and all the famous faces who stopped by. He just mentioned Josh O’Connor had been in last week! It was so sweet seeing how much Ariana Grande cared; she told him she wouldn’t have missed it for the world, and they were even together during her opening monologue. It was a really touching moment, honestly.

One of Bowen Yang’s last sketches was a hilarious parody of Home Alone, where he played a cousin of Kevin McAllister. He shared that SNL will always be a special place for him, and there’s a chance we might see him back on the show in a few years.
