Apple TV+ has a wide variety of movies and shows right now, from fun holiday cartoons to exciting sports stories. As the end of the year approaches, people are enjoying both new hit movies and all-time favorite holiday films. This list highlights the most popular titles on the streaming service, showing Apple TV+’s dedication to great storytelling for everyone.
”Twas the Fight Before Christmas’ (2021)

This documentary tells the real story of an Idaho lawyer determined to create a spectacular Christmas light display for his neighborhood. His efforts spark a legal fight with the homeowners association, raising questions about community rules and how far someone will go for the holidays. The film includes interviews with neighbors caught in the middle of the dispute over decorations and maintaining peace in their community.
‘The Family Plan’ (2023)

Mark Wahlberg plays a retired government hitman trying to live a normal life as a dad in the suburbs. But when his dangerous past resurfaces, he’s forced to take his family on the run, desperately trying to protect them from relentless killers. He pretends their cross-country chase is just a fun family vacation. The movie mixes thrilling action with funny, realistic moments about family life.
‘The Gorge’ (2025)

Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller play elite snipers positioned on opposite sides of a strange canyon. Their mission: protect the world from a dangerous, ancient evil lurking deep underground. Though physically separated, they develop a close romantic connection through radio communication. The film blends thrilling action with psychological tension and a supernatural mystery.
‘Highest 2 Lowest’ (2025)

This documentary tells the incredible story of athletes pushing their limits in a demanding endurance race across various landscapes. It highlights the incredible physical and mental strength needed to survive in some of the world’s harshest environments. The film follows the competitors as they race from towering mountains to deep valleys, all while facing immense pressure. Stunning visuals capture the wild beauty of nature throughout their journey.
‘The Lost Bus’ (2025)

Inspired by the tragic 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California, this movie follows a bus driver and a teacher who team up to guide a school bus full of children to safety amidst a raging wildfire. Starring Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera, the film is a gripping story of bravery and survival, showcasing the incredible heroism of everyday people during a devastating disaster – one of the deadliest in California’s history.
‘The Family Plan 2’ (2025)

Okay, so the sequel to that super fun action comedy is here, and thankfully, Mark Wahlberg and the whole gang are back! This time, the family decides to take a European vacation, but of course, things don’t go as planned. It quickly turns into a crazy international spy mission! They’re just trying to enjoy a little downtime, but they have to use their special talents to stop a new, big threat to the world. Honestly, the movie really highlights how important it is for families to stick together, even when they’re up against some seriously dangerous enemies.
‘Snoopy Presents: For Auld Lang Syne’ (2021)

This special follows the Peanuts gang as Lucy tries to turn a disappointing Christmas around by throwing a fantastic New Year’s Eve party. Meanwhile, Charlie Brown has trouble keeping a New Year’s resolution. The animation stays true to the classic look of Charles M. Schulz’s beloved characters, making it a great addition to the tradition of holiday specials families watch each year.
‘Spirited’ (2022)

This new musical version of ‘A Christmas Carol’ stars Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell. Instead of following Scrooge, the story is told by the ghosts who determine if people deserve a second chance. Expect lots of energetic dancing and original songs from the creators of ‘The Greatest Showman.’ The movie uses humor to look at what makes people tick and whether they can truly change.
‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ (1965)

This beloved holiday classic tells the story of Charlie Brown as he tries to find the real spirit of the season, which seems to be lost in all the shopping and commercialism. He takes on the challenge of directing a school play and picks a small, unassuming tree to symbolize the holiday’s true meaning. With the help of his friend Linus and his dog Snoopy, Charlie Brown discovers important lessons about believing in something and the power of friendship. The special is also famous for its wonderful jazz music and has been a television tradition for many years.
‘F1’ (2025)

I’m so excited about this new movie! Brad Pitt plays a legendary driver who’s been away from the sport, but he comes back to coach a really talented newcomer on a team that everyone’s underestimated. What’s really cool is they filmed it during actual Grand Prix races, so you know it’s going to feel incredibly authentic and fast-paced. It promises all the thrills and risks of Formula 1 racing, and I think it’s going to bring that whole world to life for everyone – the acting looks fantastic, and it’s clearly aiming for a truly immersive experience.
As a total movie and TV buff, I’m curious – out of everything Apple TV+ has to offer, what do you love watching during the holidays? Let me know in the comments – I’m always looking for new things to add to my watchlist!
