Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 First Look Shows Off Krysten Ritter and Charlie Cox

Krysten Ritter will reprise her role as Jessica Jones, appearing in the second season of the Daredevil: Born Again series, bringing her back into the same universe as Matt Murdock.

EW.com revealed the first exclusive look, confirming the long-awaited reunion from the Netflix era.

Jessica Jones Joins Daredevil’s Fight

Charlie Cox shared with EW that the positive fan reaction to Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones teaming up in The Defenders strongly suggested they’d be back together again.

He explains that the relationship between the characters still feels real, with a lot of witty banter alongside genuinely important issues at play.

I’m so excited for season 2! They’re being super secretive about what Julia Ritter’s character will be doing, but Brad Winderbaum from Marvel TV has hinted it’s going to be huge. He actually compared her impact to how everyone reacted to Jon Bernthal as the Punisher in the first season – that’s a seriously big deal! It sounds like she’s going to be a game-changer.

Wilson Fisk Tightens His Grip on New York

Season 2 begins with Wilson Fisk firmly in control of New York City. With vigilantism now illegal and Daredevil considered a fugitive, the city is essentially under his control.

Winderbaum says the upcoming season will explore more serious and somber topics, focusing on the devastating results of events and a city gripped by anxiety.

This time, Cox portrays Daredevil as a defiant figure, challenging Fisk’s attempts to consolidate his power.

New Villains and Power Players Revealed

Entertainment Weekly’s preview images reveal Matthew Lillard joining the cast as Mr. Charles, a new associate of Fisk, and Lili Taylor as New York Governor Marge McCaffrey.

Both characters add to the growing political and criminal chess match unfolding across the city.

Familiar Faces Return

In season two, Deborah Ann Woll’s character, Karen Page, is more involved, working secretly with Matt. According to co-star Charlie Cox, this is her best performance in the series so far.

Even after his death, Foggy Nelson remains an important presence in the story, and the season ends with hints about what’s next for the Punisher after his escape.

Winderbaum also stated that the new Punisher TV special will be directly linked to the storyline of season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again.

Release Info

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again will begin streaming on Disney+ in March. Marvel Studios intends to continue the story over multiple seasons, all set in New York City.
