The latest trailer for the action-comedy Anaconda is out now, offering fans their first good glimpse of the movie’s blend of humor and excitement.
This new movie is a fresh take on the 1997 film Anaconda, featuring Paul Rudd, Jack Black, Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello. Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez also appear briefly as themselves. Sony Pictures has announced the film will be released in US theaters on December 25th.
Tom Gormican directed Anaconda, co-writing the script with Kevin Etten. The film stars Jack Black and Paul Rudd as Doug and Griff, two friends who decide to recreate the original Anaconda movie as a fun project in the Amazon rainforest. Their amateur filmmaking quickly becomes a fight for survival when they encounter a real, massive anaconda.

I’m really excited about the cast for this movie! Paul Rudd is playing Griff, a guy who works as an extra in films, and Jack Black is Doug, a wedding videographer. Their friends Kenny, played by Steve Zahn, and Claire, played by Thandiwe Newton, are along for the ride too. Daniela Melchior is Ana Almeida, and Selton Mello is playing this interesting character, Santiago Braga, who handles snakes! Ione Skye is playing Doug’s wife, Malie, and Ben Lawson is also in it, though they’re keeping his role a secret for now.
The latest trailer showcases the movie’s blend of humor and thrilling action, following the film crew’s wild and dangerous journey to complete their project. It also features unexpected cameos from Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez, making the story even more entertaining.
