After Netflix secured the rights to content from Warner Bros. Discovery, James Gunn and Peter Safran, the co-heads of DC Studios, both had their contracts extended by six months.
That schedule matches up nicely with the expected closing date of the sale, as long as regulators approve it.
Okay, so if James Gunn stays on as DC’s co-CEO, things might actually start happening with the new Wonder Woman movie! There’s a chance Eiza González is still being considered for the role, which I’d be really excited about.
