A new trailer for The Mandalorian & Grogu has leaked online ahead of its official theatrical release.
The video started spreading online, following a pattern of recent leaks of movie trailers. These leaks have been happening with early preview screenings and trailers shown before other films, like the trailers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and the Avengers: Doomsday trailers featuring Steve Rogers and Thor.
The trailer that was leaked online is believed to be the same version Disney intended to show in cinemas, probably before the movie Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Similar to other recent Marvel leaks, this footage is grainy and looks like it was recorded off a screen. Disney is already working to remove the leaked videos, which suggests it’s genuine.

Bigger Scale and Post-Empire Conflict
The trailer shows a chaotic time after the Empire has fallen, with various Imperial leaders now fighting for control and posing the biggest danger.
The New Republic is having trouble keeping the peace and begins relying on Din Djarin for jobs that are either too risky or complicated for them to take on themselves.
The story’s feel has changed, moving away from a simple, weekly adventure and becoming more like a grand, cinematic Star Wars experience.

Din Djarin Returns to Heavy Action
The show prominently features Din Djarin in extensive action scenes that are larger in scale than what’s typically seen in the Disney+ series.
The show features thrilling blaster battles, stealthy missions into Imperial bases, and an especially memorable fight taking place inside an AT-AT.
The trailer leans hard into spectacle, reinforcing that this story is meant for the big screen.

Grogu’s Power Continues to Grow
Grogu’s Force abilities appear significantly more advanced than in the series.
The leaked video appears to demonstrate his improved control of the Force, showcasing him effortlessly disabling droids in both intense and playful scenes.
There are signs that Grogu uses an old object to strengthen or control his abilities, which is helping him grow as a Jedi alongside Din Djarin.

Familiar Faces and New Republic Involvement
The new trailer hints at the return of characters fans know and love from The Mandalorian, like Bo-Katan, and shows that the New Republic will have a bigger part in the story.
Sigourney Weaver’s character is expected to play a major role, hinting that the movie will explore the political and military consequences of the Empire falling apart.

A More Cinematic Star Wars Direction
As a huge Star Wars fan, I was really struck by the trailer’s look! It feels much more realistic and gritty than some of the more recent stuff, and they’re showing off these massive Imperial bases and abandoned places. Plus, the icy worlds really reminded me of the original trilogy – it’s got that classic Star Wars vibe I love!
Early reports suggest the show’s mood is more similar to the film Rogue One than The Mandalorian series, feeling darker and emphasizing the importance of events and their impact.

When the Official Trailer Is Expected
With the trailer already circulating among theater sources, an official release appears imminent.
The leak of the footage was probably due to its planned inclusion with the Avatar: Fire and Ash trailer. Disney might now choose to officially release it online instead of trying to remove it from various platforms.
The Mandalorian & Grogu trailer spoilers:

- Action-heavy sequences: Mando battling inside an AT-AT, infiltrating Imperial facilities, epic fights against remnants.
- Grogu shows growth as an “apprentice” — more advanced Force use, including destroying droids (like Mouse Droids in a fun stinger) and possibly amplifying his abilities with an ancient artifact.
- Returning elements: Familiar Mandalorian allies (e.g., Bo-Katan, possibly others), New Republic characters (Sigourney Weaver’s role highlighted).
- Planet/settings: Clues point to locations like Khar’Zuun (an forgotten Imperial site), snowy/Hoth-like environments, and more cinematic scale than the series.
- Tone: Bigger, more theatrical adventure focused on Mando and Grogu’s bond, with heart, action, and nostalgia (e.g., Razor Crest sightings in prior leaks).
