Throughout his time on “General Hospital,” Jack Geary received an unprecedented eight Daytime Emmy Awards for his leading role, starting in 1982 and continuing through 2015. Though he left the show in 2015, he made several return appearances, including a special cameo in 2017 to help celebrate the retirement of his co-star, Jane Elliot.
Beyond his long-running role in soap operas, Geary also acted in films like “Disorderlies” (1987) and “UHF” (1989), where he was known for playing the quirky scientist Philo. He continued to perform on stage throughout his career, appearing in more than 50 plays, including a one-man show called “Human Scratchings” in 1996.
