50 Cent is eager to collaborate with Eminem once more, and this time he envisions them working on a movie soundtrack. He’s hoping Eminem will create original music for the upcoming Street Fighter film, in which 50 Cent will star as the character Balrog.
He announced on Instagram over the weekend that he’s hoping to work with Eminem on the soundtrack for the movie Street Fighter, saying new music is coming soon. Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, the two have collaborated many times before, so the possibility seems likely.

The announcement comes as 50 Cent is working on several projects, including recently gaining attention for the Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Although he and Diddy have had disagreements in the past, 50 Cent told GQ he wasn’t involved in creating the series. He explained that he chose a team that allowed the story to speak for itself, saying, “I didn’t make the docuseries. I got the best possible people to make one. That’s why you don’t feel anybody’s energy when watching.”
Street Fighter is a reboot of the live-action film series based on the popular video game by Capcom.
As a huge movie fan, I’m really excited about this one! It’s directed by Kitao Sakurai and the screenplay is by Dalan Musson. It’s actually the third time they’ve brought this franchise to life with real actors, and the fourth live-action feature in total. The cast is absolutely massive – we’ve got Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Andrew Koji as Ryu, and Callina Liang as Chun-Li, plus Jason Momoa is playing Blanka! And it doesn’t stop there – Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i is Akuma, Cody Rhodes is Guile, David Dastmalchian is M. Bison, Andrew Schulz is Dan Hibiki, Eric André is Don Sauvage, Vidyut Jammwal is Dhalsim, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is Balrog, Olivier Richters is Zangief, Orville Peck is Vega, Hirooki Goto is E. Honda, Mel Jarnson is Cammy, Rayna Vallandingham is Juli, Alexander Volkanovski is Joe, and even Kyle Mooney is joining the fun as Marvin. It’s a seriously packed movie!
In April 2023, Legendary Entertainment obtained the rights to make live-action Street Fighter movies. The project went through several changes in directors before Hiroshi Sakurai signed on in early 2025.
The movie began casting earlier this year, and filming wrapped up between August and November. It will be released in US theaters by Paramount Pictures on October 16, 2026, and will also be shown in IMAX.
The film is set in 1993 and follows Ryu and Ken, portrayed by Koji and Centineo, as they’re drawn back into the world of fighting. Chun-Li convinces them to compete in the World Warrior Tournament, but they soon discover a sinister scheme behind the competition that will pit them against each other and force them to face their personal histories. Paramount Pictures warns that failure to stop the plot means certain defeat.
