I was really shocked to hear the news today. Rob Reiner, the director of so many classics, and his wife, Michele Singer, were found dead at their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. It’s just incredibly sad news – they were both such talents.

Authorities have confirmed that the couple was found dead at their home on the 200 block of South Chadbourne Avenue.

Reiner was 78. Michele Reiner was 68.

LAPD Investigation Update

According to several sources who spoke with People magazine, Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were reportedly killed by their son, Nick Reiner, at their home in Brentwood.

According to reports, the couple was stabbed to death. While police haven’t yet released the victims’ names or officially confirmed the cause of death, and no one has been arrested, a stabbing is believed to be the cause.

At a previous press conference, LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton stated that police didn’t have any suspects or people they were looking into at the moment.

The investigation is still active, and officials will reach a final conclusion once the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office completes its findings. Sources report that Nick Reiner, 32, is alive and currently being questioned, according to People magazine.

Reiner’s son, Nick, struggled with drug addiction and experienced homelessness for a significant period of time.

Family Confirms Tragic Loss

I was so incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. The Reiner family shared a statement, and it just broke my heart. They said they’re completely devastated by this sudden loss and asked for some privacy as they grieve – which, of course, they deserve. It’s just a terrible tragedy.

One of the couple’s children reportedly contacted authorities after discovering the scene.

Billy Crystal and Larry David stopped by Rob Reiner’s house on Sunday evening. Crystal famously starred in Reiner’s film When Harry Met Sally…, and Reiner made a memorable cameo appearance as himself on the TV show Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Rob Reiner first became well-known as Michael “Meathead” Stivic on the TV show All in the Family. He then went on to become a highly regarded director in Hollywood, known for films like This Is Spinal Tap, Stand by Me, The Princess Bride, Misery, A Few Good Men, and The American President.
