I’m so excited about The Batman – Part II! It sounds like we might finally see Harvey Dent show up in Matt Reeves’ Gotham, and honestly, I have a feeling there’s even more to come that we don’t know about yet.
Rumors suggest Harvey Dent will be in the next movie, and his family will likely be important to the plot.
Recent rumors about Scarlett Johansson and Brad Pitt joining a project seem to be confirmed by new reports.

Scarlett Johansson Reportedly Playing Gilda Dent
Sources say Scarlett Johansson is in talks to play Gilda Dent, the wife of Harvey Dent, according to Jeff Sneider.
In DC Comics, Gilda is a sad character whose story is linked to Harvey’s decline. She’s usually shown as emotionally reserved and haunted by regret as his life falls apart.
Some comic book portrayals show Gilda realizing Harvey is troubled before his true nature is revealed. Other versions depict her as a criminal herself, making it unclear whether she’s a victim or someone helping him. This ambiguity aligns perfectly with the realistic and character-focused Gotham that Reeves is creating.

Could Scarlett Johansson’s Gilda Dent Be A Twist On Two-Face?
Or how about that Matt Reeves may be flipping expectations entirely?
So, I’m hearing that Scarlett Johansson might be taking on a villainous role, and apparently, it’s a really sneaky, deceptive one. What’s got everyone buzzing is that her character, Gilda Dent, could be way more than just Harvey Dent’s wife – she might have her own agenda going on. It sounds like she could be a seriously complex character, and I’m really intrigued to see where they go with it!
A gender-swapped Two-Face would be a radical shift.
While it’s not official, the concept of Scarlett Johansson playing Two-Face – with the character’s dual personality embodied by her and a character named Gilda instead of Harvey Dent – would significantly differentiate this Batman movie from previous installments.

Brad Pitt Rumored For Dent’s Father Role
Sources say Brad Pitt was considered for the role of Harvey Dent’s father, a character known in the comics for being abusive and having a significant impact on Harvey’s troubled past.
So, I was really hoping to see Brad Pitt pop up in The Batman: Part II, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s not going to happen. Apparently, he’s just too busy with other commitments right now.
Despite this, the mention of Brad Pitt indicates Reeves has ambitious plans for the Dent family in the sequel, viewing them as a key emotional component and seeking well-known actors to play them.
