Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are expecting their first child, the couple announced recently.
Hailee Steinfeld announced she’s expecting a baby in her latest newsletter. She shared a list of 29 highlights from the past year, marking her 29th birthday, and ended the post with a video revealing the news.
In the video, she showed off her baby bump while standing in the snow, and Allen kissed her stomach. They both smiled throughout, and she wore a fleece jacket with the word “mother” on it. The clip ended with the couple holding hands next to a little snowman.
The pair later shared the same video on Instagram, where Allen commented, “I love you ❤️.”

Steinfeld has talked before about wanting a family. She told Bustle in November that she was definitely ready to have children.
She called her marriage to Allen a turning point in her life and shared how thankful she is. She said she’s constantly grateful to have found her perfect partner, calling it the best thing that’s ever happened to her. Being with him, she explained, has brought clarity and purpose to her life, and she finally feels like she’s becoming the person she always envisioned.
Hailee Steinfeld and her husband, both 29 years old, began dating in 2023 and married on May 31, 2025, in Santa Barbara, California. Steinfeld described the wedding weekend as “magical” in a recent newsletter.
She shared that she and Allen frequently found themselves remembering moments from the celebration, often with a mix of happiness, laughter, and tears. She explained that the beautiful setting in Santa Barbara felt filled with love, and having all their family and friends together made that feeling even stronger.
This is the first child for both Steinfeld and Allen.
