‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Teaser Shows Zendaya’s Rue in Deep Trouble

HBO just dropped a new trailer for the third season of Euphoria, offering fans their first glimpse of what’s happening with Zendaya’s character, Rue Bennett.

Okay, so I just saw the first look at the next installment of the show, and it’s clear Rue is still battling her inner struggles, picking up a few years after graduation. In a voiceover, she admits things haven’t quite gone as planned – she says, and I quote, “There’s no turning back. A few years after high school, I don’t know if life was exactly what I wished.” It was part of HBO’s big preview for 2026, alongside some exciting sneak peeks at the new House of the Dragon and Dune: Prophecy series.

The brief trailer shows Rue at a party, dancing with other women, and also alone in a church. She’s seen running and looking over her shoulder as if she’s being followed. We also get glimpses of the other main characters: Lexi, Maddy, Nate, Cassie, and Jules.

The preview suggests Rue will encounter a dangerous new enemy: a powerful drug lord played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. In one scene, he confronts Rue, saying, “You walk up into my house, and you don’t even introduce yourself.” Details about his character are currently limited.

The highly anticipated third season of Sam Levinson’s teen drama is coming to HBO in April 2026, over four years after the last episode of season two aired. Levinson has announced several new cast members, including Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, and Marshawn Lynch. Unfortunately, Storm Reid’s character Gia and Kat, played by Barbie Ferreira, won’t be appearing in the new season.

This preview shows that Rue and the characters in Euphoria are facing fresh difficulties and conflicts. The show will keep delving into their complicated lives, and things will get even more interesting with new actors and challenges introduced.
