Following months of rumors, a recent gameplay trailer for Resident Evil Requiem has officially confirmed that players will be able to control Leon S. Kennedy.
I just saw the trailer, and Leon teams up with Grace Ashcroft! It looks like he’s really getting into the thick of it – tons of intense fights, and he’s even using a chainsaw to get revenge. Seriously, the action looks brutal and awesome.

About Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil: Requiem blends the series’ classic survival horror with a more intense, personal story of revenge.
As a huge fan of the series, I’m really excited about this new installment! It looks like they’re introducing a new character, Grace Ashcroft, alongside Leon S. Kennedy, and it’s promising a much more intense and psychological experience. Forget constant action set-pieces; it sounds like this one’s focusing on building tension, making you feel truly isolated, and delivering some really gritty, up-close combat. It’s a different direction, and I’m here for it!

The trailer highlights Leon at his best, battling through constant, intense fights that show how much is at stake and how carefully he has to act.
The gameplay footage shows more intense, close-quarters fighting and a surprisingly violent side to Leon, even featuring him using a chainsaw. This hints at a darker and more action-packed experience.
Okay, so Resident Evil Requiem definitely feels different. Instead of just pure action, this one really digs into themes of revenge and just trying to live through the nightmare. It’s a surprisingly intense and realistic take for the series, and honestly, one of the stronger entries because of it. It feels less about spectacle and more about the characters’ desperate fight for survival.
