A new trailer for Wonder Man is out, offering fans another glimpse of Trevor Slattery back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This series is a new project from Marvel Studios for Disney+. It will reimagine a well-known comic book character, but remain connected to the established Marvel Cinematic Universe.
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really excited about Wonder Man! It’s being brought to life by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, and Marvel Studios has confirmed it’s officially part of the main Marvel TV universe, meaning it’ll connect to everything happening in the movies. Andrew Guest is running the show as showrunner, and it’s a collaboration between Marvel Studios, Family Owned, and Onyx Collective – a pretty solid team, if you ask me.

The series follows Simon Williams, an actor hoping to revitalize his career. He gets a major opportunity when he auditions for the starring role in a new film based on the Wonder Man story. Ben Kingsley returns as Trevor Slattery, and he joins Simon in navigating the unusual and competitive landscape of Hollywood. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays Simon Williams and portrays the superhero Wonder Man. The cast also features Arian Moayed, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Olivia Thirlby, and Byron Bowers.
Filming for the show began in Los Angeles in April 2023, but was quickly paused due to the Writers Guild of America strike that impacted numerous Hollywood productions. Production resumed in early 2024 and finished that April. Marvel Studios then officially announced the show a few months later, confirming it would be part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Disney+ has announced that Wonder Man will premiere on January 27, 2026. This eight-episode series is part of the Marvel Spotlight collection, which emphasizes stories focused on individual characters. The show centers around two actors, Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery, both hoping to be cast in a film about a hero they aspire to be like.
