I’m completely hooked on Where Winds Meet! It’s an amazing open-world RPG that really pulls you in. The world feels so alive and huge, and I love how it mixes wuxia fantasy with a bit of historical drama. You get to create your own character – basically, the warrior you want to be – and then just wander around, solving mysteries, helping people out, and battling anyone who tries to stop you. It’s a fantastic adventure!
Throughout the game world, you’ll find special characters called Wayfarers. They’re scattered across different regions and play a key role in unlocking new areas and revealing the game’s hidden secrets. Though rare, discovering these Wayfarers is essential to fully explore Where Winds Meet.
Qinghe Wayfarer Locations

The first area of the game features three Wayfarers. Here’s where to find them and how to reach them easily.
| Wayfarer | Area | Description |
|---|---|---|
| #1 | Verdant Wilds | Found near Bamboo Abode, this is the first Wayfarer you will encounter when starting the game. He will give you the first fragment of the map and information to use when coming across other Wayfarers. |
| #2 | Moonveil Mountain | During Chapter 1, you will journey to Heaven’s Pier and a long bridge over the water. The Moonveil Mountain Wayfarer will be on a rock by the water and will provide you with another fragment of the map. |
| #3 | Sundara Land | The final Wayfarer for Qinghe is located near the Halo Peak Courier Post at a campfire. A good way to reach him is to use the Lightness Skill to scale the mountain. |
Kaifeng Wayfarer Locations
As you explore the next area on the map, you’ll discover four new Wayfarers and find more map fragments. The information below will help you locate them.
| Wayfarer | Area | Description |
|---|---|---|
| #1 | Kaifeng City |
Found looking down into the city from up on the walls. This Wayfarer is best found when entering the city via the South Gate and turning right. Travel up the stairs and speak to him to get the city map. |
| #2 | Granary of Plenty |
To find the Granary of Plenty Wayfarer, head to the area just southeast of the main city. You will know you are in the correct location when you see piles of grain and a raised wooden area. The Wayfarer will be on this wooden platform. |
| #3 | Jadetown Court | Southwest of the city center and past the Imperial Gardens is the way to Jadewood Court and the Wayfarer. To reach the area is a rope elevator, and the Wayfarer will be found there. |
| #4 | Roaring Sands |
If you try to access this area of the map too early (or if it is not yet active), you will be transported back to the main section of Kaifeng and told to keep adventuring before trying to discover it. Once accessible, entering the area from the east and following the long ridge-like path is the best way to find this Wayfarer. |
Some players are having trouble getting into Roaring Sands, and it might be because your character isn’t a high enough level yet. To level up, try completing both side quests and the main story. This will help you prepare to explore the area when you’re ready.
