This week, Peacock is adding a diverse selection of movies, including both fun animated films and recent releases from theaters. Between December 8th and 14th, the streaming service will add four new titles, offering something for everyone – from comedies the whole family can enjoy to gripping dramas. Along with films from well-known studios, Peacock is also releasing a brand new holiday movie, giving viewers plenty of entertainment options mid-month.
‘The Croods: A New Age’ (2020)

On December 9th, the Croods, a prehistoric family, begin a journey to find a safer place to live. They stumble upon a beautiful, protected valley that seems perfect, but it’s already home to the Bettermans – a family who believe they’re more advanced. This leads to conflict between the cave-dwelling Croods and the more modern Bettermans. When a new danger appears, the two families must overcome their differences and work together to survive beyond the valley’s walls.
‘Renfield’ (2023)

A new movie focusing on Renfield, Dracula’s dedicated servant, arrives on December 9th. After centuries of finding victims for his demanding master and following every order, Renfield wonders if he can have a life of his own when he falls for a determined police officer in New Orleans. This horror comedy examines the unhealthy dynamic between the vampire and his assistant, and Renfield’s attempt to find a better path.
‘A Motown Christmas’ (2024)

Starting December 11th, viewers can enjoy a heartwarming holiday movie about a woman who works with her old rival to revive the annual Motown Christmas Concert in her hometown. To succeed, they need to overcome their history and bring some holiday cheer to the community. The film showcases beloved Motown songs performed by a cast honoring Detroit’s rich musical heritage.
‘The Fabelmans’ (2022)

Directed by Steven Spielberg, this personal film arrives for streaming on December 11th. It tells the story of young Sammy Fabelman, who discovers a passion for movies after attending his first film. He starts creating his own home movies while dealing with a complicated family life and hidden truths. The film beautifully shows how movies can help us understand ourselves and connect with others.
