I’ll never forget my first attempt at the Fire Giant in Elden Ring – it was incredibly difficult! Honestly, I was the problem, not the boss. I almost gave up entirely, but I kept trying. After many failed attempts against that massive creature, I finally managed to defeat him, even though I briefly considered using a cheap tactic to win.
The second time I played, I felt much more confident and actually defeated the boss on my first try. It made me realize how much I struggled the first time around!
Even after playing multiple times, I can’t believe anyone would try to fight that boss at the very beginning of the game. And doing it with only their fists? That seems impossible. But somehow, one player has actually done it! They defeated the Fire Giant at the lowest possible level, using nothing but their bare hands – a first, and frankly, a pretty crazy accomplishment.
Elden Ring’s Fire Giant Beaten At Level 1 With Only Bare Fists
YouTuber Fracture42 is attempting a challenging feat in Elden Ring: defeating as many bosses as possible at level 1 using only their bare fists to attack.
Before facing the Fire Giant, the players had already defeated 38 bosses, including several of the Elden Lords like Margit, Godrick, Godfrey, Radahn, and Mohg. They’d also overcome other difficult challenges, such as Commander Niall and the Draconic Tree Sentinel. However, the Fire Giant presented a whole new level of difficulty.
The team, Fracture, last tried this challenging task in February 2024, but it was too difficult, so they decided to wait two years before trying again. They needed three different sets of gear to get through the boss’s three stages, and the entire fight took an incredible 7 hours and 28 minutes!
I initially thought the seven-hour-long video showed all of their tries, but it actually only covered one fight.
They relied on just a few ways to heal – 14 Crimson Tears Flasks, the Blessed Blue Dew Talisman from Shadow of the Erdtree, and the Bestial Vitality spell. They also strongly suggested that the Fire Giant’s Flame Breath was the most difficult part of the fight.
I’m equally amazed that Fracture42 beat the first boss using only their fists and that they kept trying for over seven hours! Either way, that’s seriously impressive.
