James Gunn Releases ‘Supergirl’ Trailer Teaser, Full Teaser Drops This Week

James Gunn has shared a sneak peek of the upcoming Supergirl movie, and the complete trailer will be available later this week.

The new trailer offers fans their first look at Milly Alcock in action as Kara Zor-El, continuing the promotion of the film after its costumes and exhibit were shown at CCXP.

First Look at Milly Alcock

The short video clip features Jenna Ortega as Kara, giving fans a better sense of how she’ll appear in the show, moving beyond the previously released photos from CCXP25.

This is the first footage Warner Bros. has released of her in costume since the previous Superman film, and James Gunn shared it online, quickly spreading across social media.

Follows CCXP’s Supergirl Showcase

The teaser arrives just days after WB’s large Supergirl activation at CCXP, which included:

  • The official Supergirl costume on display
  • A full themed booth featuring elements from the movie
  • Krypto, alien creatures, and world-building props

Now that the initial surprise is out of the way, the film’s full marketing campaign can begin.

Full Trailer Teaser Coming This Week

Gunn captioned the post with a simple confirmation: “Teaser trailer this week.”

While Warner Bros. hasn’t given a specific date, experts believe the first full trailer will be released on Thursday.

Supergirl arrives in theaters June 26, 2026.
