The latest season will begin streaming on Disney+ and Hulu on December 10th, with the first two episodes available right away. The show has already premiered globally, and critics are loving it – it currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Reviewers are praising Season 2, saying it’s even better than the impressive first season. The actors, like Walker Scobell as Percy, are developing their characters beautifully, bringing more emotional depth to the exciting, worldwide storylines.
The show is still full of action, features impressive monsters, and balances comedy with heartfelt moments. Though some critics feel the story isn’t particularly groundbreaking, most viewers find it a fun and enchanting addition to the Percy Jackson universe.
Season 2 builds on the show’s existing story, making it more expansive and ambitious. Fans of Rick Riordan’s books will probably enjoy how well the show adapts the source material, retaining the fun, adventure, and appealing qualities of the first season.
As a big fan, I have to say that Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is really hitting its stride. It’s already a great show, but these first four episodes show a definite improvement over the already fantastic first season. I’m really enjoying where things are going!

Walker Scobell easily steps into the role of this famous character, though some viewers might find his portrayal a bit too smooth. The second season also misses opportunities to surprise us, and in the end, the show doesn’t take many risks.
Martin Carr
The second book in the Percy Jackson series is a much bigger adventure, taking the characters all over the world. As they face new challenges, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover also grow up and become more emotionally aware.

How much you enjoy the show will likely depend on how much you loved Rick Riordan’s books growing up – I was a big fan! – but it’s fast-paced, the monsters are wonderfully creepy, and the jokes still land well.

Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians brings viewers back to a vibrant world of mythology that feels more alive and engaging than ever before. It’s packed with more humor, excitement, and might even surpass the first season.
