He wasn’t just a musician, though; he also starred in ‘The Harder They Come,’ a film that really brought reggae to a global audience. He sadly passed away from pneumonia at the age of 81 on November 24th, 2025. It’s a real loss.

A legendary actor in Indian films, he starred in many classic movies over several decades and also served as a Member of Parliament from 2004 to 2009. Sadly, he passed away on November 2nd, 2025, at the age of 73, due to organ failure brought on by a reaction to medication. It’s a huge loss for the music world.
