The new movie Avatar: Fire and Ash is expected to include previews of trailers for several highly anticipated films coming out next year.
Moviegoers will see trailers for upcoming films before the feature presentation, including previews of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, the Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Doomsday, and Steven Spielberg’s newest science fiction movie.

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is a thrilling take on the timeless story by Homer. Matt Damon plays Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, as he struggles to return home after the Trojan War and be reunited with his wife, Penelope, portrayed by Anne Hathaway.
The film features a star-studded cast including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and Jon Bernthal. Christopher Nolan is producing the movie alongside his wife, Emma Thomas, through their production company, Syncopy.
Written in early 2024, the movie was picked up by Universal Pictures and casting began towards the end of that year. Filming lasted from February to August 2025, with scenes shot in diverse locations like Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Iceland, and Western Sahara. At $250 million, it’s Christopher Nolan’s most costly film yet, and it was uniquely filmed entirely using IMAX 70 mm cameras. It’s scheduled for release in the U.S. on July 17, 2026.
Avengers: Doomsday is the newest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it’s directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.

Marvel Studios is planning to release the movie on December 18, 2026, and its follow-up, Secret Wars, is set to come out on December 17, 2027.
Steven Spielberg is working on a new science fiction movie with a script by David Koepp and a story developed by Spielberg. The film stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, and Wyatt Russell. It’s scheduled for release in U.S. theaters on June 12, 2026, and is expected to be a visually impressive sci-fi adventure with a talented cast.
